Historians think some version of tug of war has been played for many centuries, all the way back to both ancient Egypt and ancient China. Today, formal organizations play by set rules, with eight people to a team and a muddy “moat” between them. The goal is to pull the rope at least four meters or cause the opponents to fall down (and hopefully get very muddy!).

If your spaceship is in the shop, you can study up on Armstrong's historic walk. It was July of 1969 when Armstrong famously took "one small step for man and one giant leap for mankind." The moonwalk lasted two and a half hours, and was documented by only eleven pictures, most of which were taken by Armstrong himself.

Armstrong was accompanied by fellow astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who helped Armstrong plant an American flag on the moon's surface. Shortly after planting the flag, the astronauts received a call from President Richard Nixon, who gave Armstrong the Congressional Medal of Honor upon his return to Earth. Not bad for a kid from small-town Ohio.
