Peppermint Patty Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 It seems like Denny was a non factor. Dif they pitch around him?

Best of luck to our graduating seniors. To the underclassmen, come back next year hungrier than ever. Would love to have seen Denny coaching the '07-08 team with Hales, Thamm, Silva, Kelley, and Burditt on the bump.

Bud Kilmer Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 Denny went 1 for 2 with 2 walks tonight so on base 3 out of 4 times....he scored in the first and tried to get in a 1st and 3rd run down to tie the game maybe in the 3rd but runner was gunned down at home. Foster did a good job of limiting his opportunities. A couple of times they had bases loaded 2 outs but couldnt get Denny up there leaving him standing on deck. Kid for Foster was 86-87 and kids for BH were low 80s.

BHFAN Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 Great season Eagles!!!Which you guys could have went all the way,but what a great year! You should be very proud
scapegoat Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 Great season Barbers Hill. For Smoking Baby I bet you are going to have a hard time rapping your head around the fact that Nederland beat Foster this year and Barbers Hill could not.I love it when someone like you has to eat crow!I am not saying that Nederland is better than BH but Smoking Baby said some pretty classless stuff about Nederland before this series.

Nederland really sucks. I mean could pull 20 inches of vacuum on the astrodome. Lol . You must be new or you'd know crow is my most frequent meal....lol
Dayton Transplant Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 Congrats on a great season by the Eagles. 19-4A is proud.
bhdog28 Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 Congrats to the Eagle baseball team on a great season. Ups and downs of life make you stronger, but unfortunately, the pain never really subsides. You have much to be proud of during the season! Good luck to the seniors moving on and the strong Hill teams to come. With Denny around there will be many strong teams, true teams with a true TEAM concept, which trumps the "ACE concept" anytime, anywhere!
Bud Kilmer Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 I love Denny as a coach but man they lose a lot of pieces for next year. Losing Thames, Beasley, Homan, Oliphant among others....there goes a #1 pitcher/hitter/OF, 4 year varsity catcher, Solid SS, Solid 3b, thats a lot to lose. K Denny will be back but he will have a lot less support, I cant see next years team being near as strong as the last two.
BH10 Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 That was said last year and the year before that. Yes BH loses some great players but other kids will step up, that's what great programs do.
