I really thought this was BH's year.  Guess not.

Told ya, just not enough pitching depth.  Lose game 1 and it's trouble.  Great run though and we put 20-4A and Brenham out of it, which is really what matters..... ;D ;D ;D

Now that' s funny.
Just not enough pitching depth. Yet another great season by the BH Eagles !
Best of luck to our graduating seniors. To the underclassmen, come back next year hungrier than ever.

Would  love to have seen Denny coaching the '07-08 team with Hales, Thamm, Silva, Kelley, and Burditt on the bump.

Denny went 1 for 2 with 2 walks tonight so on base 3 out of 4 times....he scored in the first and tried to get in a 1st and 3rd run down to tie the game maybe in the 3rd but runner was gunned down at home. Foster did a good job of limiting his opportunities. A couple of times they had bases loaded 2 outs but couldnt get Denny up there leaving him standing on deck.

Kid for Foster was 86-87 and kids for BH were low 80s.

Great season Barbers Hill. For Smoking Baby I bet you are going to have a hard time rapping your head around the fact that Nederland beat Foster this year and Barbers Hill could not.I love it when someone like you has to eat crow!I am not saying that Nederland is better than BH but Smoking Baby said some pretty classless stuff about Nederland before this series.

Your right, I mispoke. Nederland really sucks. I mean could pull 20 inches of vacuum on the astrodome.  Lol .  You must be new or you'd know crow is my most frequent meal....lol

Congrats to the Eagle baseball team on a great season. Ups and downs of life make you stronger, but unfortunately, the pain never really subsides. You have much to be proud of during the season! Good luck to the seniors moving on and the strong Hill teams to come. With Denny around there will be many strong teams, true teams with a true TEAM concept, which trumps the "ACE concept" anytime, anywhere!

I love Denny as a coach but man they lose a lot of pieces for next year. Losing Thames, Beasley, Homan, Oliphant among others....there goes a #1 pitcher/hitter/OF, 4 year varsity catcher, Solid SS, Solid 3b, thats a lot to lose. K Denny will be back but he will have a lot less support, I cant see next years team being near as strong as the last two.

    • Say that then. Don't just stop at i am pro-life. Thanks for the clarification.
    • A life is being taken in both instances.
    • I get it!!  I was once in your shoes. I was that person in the stands, loudly complaining about “bad officiating.” Now, with the rise of social media, it’s easier than ever to voice these criticisms online.  I thought I could see every call better than the officials on the floor. Then someone said to me, “If you can do better, get in the game.”   That challenge changed my life. Over 20 years ago, I became a basketball official, and what I’ve learned since then is eye-opening.   Officiating is not just about making calls. It’s about managing the game, the players, the coaches, and yes, the fans. We face a new generation of student-athletes who have been raised in a culture where everyone gets a trophy and losing is almost taboo. We deal with fans who question our integrity and sometimes become outright hostile.   I acknowledge that officials aren’t perfect; we have off days just like anyone else. However, the increasing hostility from fans is driving many to leave officiating. According to the National Federation of High School Associations, approximately 50,000 high school officials have left the profession since the 2018-19 season, with fan behavior being a significant factor.    Here’s the reality: without officials, there is no game.   So, instead of tearing down the people who make your games possible, here’s a suggestion:   • Thank the officials for being part of the game. • Thank them for the countless hours they spend studying rules, mastering mechanics, and working to improve. • Thank them for their patience with privilege-minded athletes and overly aggressive fans.   Next time you see an official, instead of criticizing, take a moment to say, “Thank you.” They’re out there to make the game happen, and trust me, it’s not as easy as it looks from the stands.   If you think you can do better, take the challenge like I did. Get in the game. You might just discover how much it takes to blow that whistle.
