I would venture to say Diboll has more pitching depth with 4 good ones & that Silsbe swings it better..I hope it's a 3 game series to be fair to the kidsIf a one Gamer I'll take Silsbee 4-23 game I'll take Diboll in 3.

It will come down to the flip. For Diboll, It is the first time to reach a regional final in this era of baseball. In the earlier game this season in Silsbee, Diboll was without 3 current starters due to basketball. Also heard that the game will be played at either Rice, U of H or Sam Houston, but not sure which one at this time. Either 1 or 2 of 3 will be a heck game/series. I would expect both to play hard, and the winner will represent the region well.

Either way Powell will be hard to beat. As a Diboll fan, I am hoping for a 3 game series. Both teams made history for their schools and should be very proud.

Now just working out when and where. Rice and UH are being considered.BTW, you are now 0-2 in "factual" posts. ;) ;D
RockNFire Posted May 26, 2013 Report Posted May 26, 2013 Diboll has knocked off #7 Hudson in 1, and #8 Caldwell in three after losing game one. They then knocked off Hargrove in two, which beat BC, who knocked off the #1 Sweeny team. Throw in a two game sweep of a scrappy Palestine team and I think that should confirm that they are "tested." I am not trying to chip anybody off, but I am not sure that the Tigers have as good of a playoff resume.

This was the plan all along, even before they defeated Carthage.Silsbee never considered playing a 1 gamer with Diboll.

They are #1 in state for a reason...Because they play ball as a team and do it well.. They put the ball on the bat..And there defence is strong... They are the best out of the last four teams and will bring the state trophy home to SILSBEE T.X.
