hoopaholic02 Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 once you leave your feet you are in "illegal" guarding position.
stevenash Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 I always thought you were entitled to the space above you. Didn't Vitale used to call it the rule of verticality?
hoopaholic02 Posted May 27, 2013 Report Posted May 27, 2013 well this call was made against me this weekend 3 times and it was explained to me as... " if i would have never jumped it wouldnt have been a foul, but the second i left my feet, since i was in illegal guarding position, any contact warranted a foul on my part"

If so, they need to find a rule book and actually read it.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted May 29, 2013 Report Posted May 29, 2013 Just as I suspected Nash. Yes Nash, there are A FEW "new" rules in place since Cousy left the NBA. ;)

Man, thats a term I haven't heard in years, at least in basketball terms. Wasn't that term used for layups?

You know very well that, in your parlance, a "crip shot" is probably an apt description of a drive by shooting.
