dawson has the most starters in the district coming back from playoff teams to i think they the favorites to represent region 3 in d1.
shhhhh! your gonna upset demdawgs. ;D
What you talking bout dustoff? SC is the favorites in Region 3 D1, the favorites to get knocked out 1st round again. Them "local world beaters in their own mind from SC" will not get out the 1st round of the playoffs for the foreseeable future (including this yr along with the 2 yrs after re-alignment) ;)
Those 1st and 2nd rounds are just as much about the luck of the draw as skill. Had Ned or any other team in GT's path got GT 1st ...they're one and done. Had Vidor lined up with a team like Tomball, Livingston, or a few others, they're onto the 2nd round. Had Vidor got Ned in the 2nd round, its a toss up. Vidor played those guys close and anything could happen in a rematch. Ned could have been gone in round one or two ...but they drew favorable opponents. SC could have been on to round three had they lined up against Angleton or Ned in the 2nd round.I'm still not sold on the realignment. It will amaze me to see SC get anywhere near 3,000 kids any time soon. Just don't see it. Humble/Atascocita WAS booming, but this has slowed down. Another big community needs to pop up or some AHS kids will need to get zoned to AHS AND they'll have to actually attend SC.
So beating the 4A #1 team in state was a weak schedule?? BTW, Angelton would have sent you home as well.
According to him beating Dawson should be easy ::)
Pearland was impressive ...but you're missing the bigger point. Its about who you get paired with for most teams.

They played a bend-but-don't-break style. I don't recall seeing too many sacks during the year. I also don't recall a game where our defense would get the game ball ...but they did make some key plays from time to time. Crosby game stands out well. We had a key stop on 4th and short on our side of the field. Also had an INT in the endzone which was a back breaker. SC defense is going to be a HUGE indicator this year. We have about 3 proven stand out players and a couple more that "should" be stand outs. Really not seeing any big D lineman and that worries me. DemDAWGS!
Garrity, I know that was a sarcastic remark, but not sure if you really mean we had a lot of players or not. IMO, we had some horses to spare ...to a point. Our JV was pretty dismal and didn't get much attention. There might have been some depth to be found there. songone
DemDawgs... I'm not really a sh*% talker, but I understand why you feel the way you do. SC is loaded and knocking on the door. I'm going to side with you on this one. 8 starters returning on offense is a little too much for the competition to contend with. Especially having to deal with Aaron Sharp (3 year starter) as their leader. This kid is about to flat out destroy Region III, NO IF ANDS OR BUTS ABOUT IT! I know... "What about the defense?"... 5 returning starters, but can anybody go blow for blow with that offense for that to be a factor? At least in Region III. Barring injury... DemDAWGS!
SC wins Region III Div1!
Love ur enthusiasm and I believe SC takes district if they get by hard fought games with Crosby and BH. These are games we're really going to need defense. After district, we'll see. We should have a good sense of who this team is after the scrimmage and 1st couple games. Aaron Sharp has improved each year. It's time to put this team on his shoulders and make a positive statement in the playoffs.

(Which is no excuse, just a fact) SC and Nederland beat Dayton fair and square... Dayton may lose again against SC this year... bronco pride
Dayton was 9-0 outscoring their district opponents 263-46. SC was 9-0 outscoring their district opponents 313-66. SC caught dayton with injuries and attitudes with very key players. SC won no doubt and was definitly the more hungry team but look at the scores throughout the year and i think without a doubt dayton just didnt show up to play. Some very poor attitudes (with some key players) like bronco pride said. with that happening makes the team as a whole out of pocket... People can believe what they want.. Dayton was not playing up to their potential that night.. and everybody on the Dayton side knew it... But it is what it is.... SC came to win and thats what they did....
