I'm not sure that I would call Refugio choking out last year, that East Bernard team was pretty darn good.

As far as Newton goes, I'm with ChampionEagles. The rankings are nice to see the respect, but we got to deliver. If anyone can though its the Newton Eagles! Let's get this party started!

If Deweyville wants more respect in regards to being ranked, then they need to play someone besides the 1-A teams that they now play. Not saying that Deweyville is not a good team but it is hard to measure a team that plays mostly weaker teams.

There is some logic to your statement but hey have an outstanding senior class. They will be under the radar for many people this year. I dont know how far they will go but they ill be 10-0 going in.

Big shoes to fill, lot of holes. I can't wait to hear from you when D-ville loses to 1A eventual 10-0 team Hull-Daisetta. HD is loaded just like the Pirates were last season.

The Only thing I am going to say right now is Deweyville will Destroy HD This year and you can take that to the BANK you talked trash last year before D-Ville played HD Than after we whipped yals A-- You had every excuse in the book why HD could not even stay on the field with the PIRATES Our JV players were in the game before half time ................

I have a clue because I have watched the current DV seniors come up through the last several years. They are a special group. HD does not have a group like this bunch at DV.
