Gt Shocker/ Impact Gold Merger

The GT Shockers Organization would like to announce our official merger with the Impact Gold Organization based out of Spring, Texas.



The Shockers will officially change names and become “Impact Gold” beginning this coming Fall 2013 season. We will continue to operate out of Beaumont, TX which is the nucleus of the Golden Triangle area. We will learn Impact’s system in its entirety and become an equal part of it from top to bottom. The Shockers and Impact both believe that it is in our best interests to combine our resources together, as one. This will strengthen our recruiting base even more within the region, and will ensure that it remains at the highest possible level for all of our players that represent us.



Yes, the GT Shockers have done an outstanding job on our own in a very short 5 years, getting 37 out of 37 gold level players recruited to the collegiate level. That is something that we are all extremely proud of! At the same time, we are not naïve to the fact that Impact Gold has been doing it much longer than we have, and that they have more resources to offer than we do. Simply put, they are a more established organization and have had more proven success at a higher level. Impact Gold already has at least one player, if not multiple players in some cases, at just about every top Division 1 program across the country. We all agree that if we combine our experiences, knowledge, and resources together, combine the best talent that we can discover within our own parts of the region, keep an open mind with the willingness and desire to constantly share information and learn from each other along the way, and put all personal egos and mini territorial boundaries aside for the greater “whole” concerning all of our players, we will simply become one of the most highly recognized recruiting bases anywhere in the country. This is a huge opportunity for southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana to take advantage of, an opportunity that we are not willing to miss out on.



If you believe you are ready to do what it takes to play at the highest level, and are ready to make the commitment to be the best you can possibly be, we are looking forward to meeting you at tryouts and seeing what you have to offer. Impact Gold tryouts for the Golden Triangle area teams (8u thru 16u) will be as follows:

Saturday – July 27th at the College Street Beaumont Athletic Complex……….specific times, fields, and further instructions for each age group will follow soon within the next couple of weeks.



Impact Gold tryouts for the Golden Triangle area Gold team (Gold - Trout) will be announced at a later date.
