The following is a listing of each current Regions overall record top five teams(AA-1 only), based on their overall records from the 1986 thru the 2012 seasons based on statistics from PigskinPrep.com website under the same heading provided. Their list was divided showing each district's members record. I took those figures and formed a Regional top five and then a statewide top ten. (W-L-T) followed by the district number the team listed participates in( ). There were actually a few surprises to me in the final top ten rankings. History always has interested me. 

Region 1.

Towns beginning with the letter C absolutely dominate this poll, but at the back end of it. It was surprising to me that Newton had more wins over this period than did Daingerfield. Then again the poll began after Daingerfield had dominated in the very early 80's. Just some trivia that I found interesting.

Newton also has the last state title from the Golden Triangle area, but it's always what have you done lately? Newton will once again be loaded at the beginning of the season, but where will they finish?
