Can't wait till Friday...

We can see lots of overreactions to the first scrimmages. Remember these are opportunities for teams to work on things and improve. Rarely are teams as good or bad as they show in scrimmages. Remember last year when the panic button was pushed by many on the Nederland Bulldogs after 2 lackluster scrimmages? We all know how that turned out as the season progressed. With that said, let the overreactions begin on Friday. Obviously we all want our teams to look great in scrimmages, but it rarely happens and often times not indicative of what is to come.  Let's see who "beats" who? LOL

and please, please, please, please!!!!!! For the one millionth time, no wins or losses in these scrimmages!!

WRONG!!

They all count.

I think Nederland is 1-3 in scrimmages the last two years. I wonder how that worked out for 20-4A?

;D

Come Friday night scrimmage with West Orange If we Win the scrimmage so be it, the main thing Neumann is looking for putting the folks in the positions for the games that do count. He can't get that right if winning a scrimmage is first priority.

I'll just say this. If the players aren't going out there to "Win" then what is the point of having a scrimmage? Practice hard play hard, practice soft play soft.
So if team A 1st team scores 4 TD's on team B's 1st team (team B's 1st team does not score), but team B's 2nd team scores 5 TD's against team A's 2nd team (team A 2nd team does not score), with all this done in a "controlled, set amount of plays, no kicking game" scrimmage, it's deemed that team B "wins" the scrimmage?

smh  ::)
Don't over complicate it. An average football fan can tell which team won in a scrimmage.

Not all scrimmages are "controlled" and have a "set amount of plays". Vidor and WOS have had game like scrimmages for idk how long now. Everything is like a game except punts and kickoffs.

Just sayin

    • SMH Silsbee will not tank against WO-S. Just won't happen. Mustangs were just that much better than Silsbee. Besides, #3 seed basically has to play the same teams as #2 seed other than first round. From what I saw with Sweeny and Brookshire, BR was the better team than Sweeny.
    • For sure.  They can take it to anyone if they want it, and if they play with the intensity that they had last Thursday.  Last Thursday game reminded me of the last 2 season's teams.
    • The numbers on those charts reflect all age groups and not just HS age Students. Another thing to remember,  some parents of school age kids might work in neighboring districts and choose to have their child in the district they are employed.  Not always the case but it is something to remember
    • We have a new apartments complex being built in Mont Belvieu. You’re going to need to update that chart.😂
