The right-hander went 4-6 in 2010 with a 4.87 ERA, starting 14 games and appearing five times out of the bullpen. Ehlert threw a team-best two complete games, including a 7-1 defeat of Rice at Olsen Field, and got a win over No. 1 Texas with a strong outing at the Big 12 Championship. He struck out 66 batters in 81 1/3 innings of work Quote
adminbaberuth Posted June 20, 2010 Author Report Posted June 20, 2010 STATE COLLEGE - Williamsport's Kevin Angelle Bridge City caught a break when Andury Acevedo's liner down the left-field line in the second inning landed just foul. With the Crosscutters holding just a two-run lead, the hit, had it been fair, would have cleared the bases and given State College a chance at a big inning at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.Instead, Angelle, making his first start for the Cutters, took the break and ran with it. He overcame two errors by his defense in the inning and minimized the damage to just one run. For the second straight night, Williamsport pulled out a 5-3 win over the Spikes and became on the only unbeaten team in the Pinckney Division of the New York-Penn League.Angelle allowed just one earned run in six innings and the Cutters' bullpen - for the second consecutive night - didn't allow a run."We got a little sloppy early and we put (Angelle) in a bad situation. But he competed his butt off and minimized the damage because it could have gotten real bad," Crosscutters manager Chris Truby said. "He kept them off balance and was aggressive." Quote
