traditions Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Kelly scored several times and Warren didn't score. Great night for Kelly football, the players were pumped.
fisherman2 Posted August 17, 2013 Author Report Posted August 17, 2013 Sounds like much improvement has been made since last season. Hope the results stay this way.
GroverCleveland Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 The scrimmage was much needed for Kelly. They should have dominated Warren and, for the most part, they did. The first play of the scrimmage was a 70 yd. TD pass from Connor Moore to Allante Wingate. Overall, Kelly scored 4 TDs and the defense shutout Warren. On offense, Darrius McMahon appears to be Kelly's best running back. Wingate also played QB and showed he is more than capable of being an effective starter. Kelly's offensive line is the biggest they have had in recent memory and dominated the line of scrimmage as they should have against Warren. On defense, Mason Harris and Andy Romano were strong at the OLB position. The cornerbacks are much stronger than last season, and Kyle Reid is a returning starter as the ILB and brings strength. Armando Ledet is solid at NG and is spelled by Brent Booker (he is huge). John Darling, also a returning starter, is a force at DE.Kelly will get a stronger test this Friday in a dual scrimmage against HJ and Lumberton at Kelly HS.

Even I reported they will get a much-needed tougher test when they scrimmage H-J and Lumberton on Friday.
