Dayton/Nederland

Anyone know yet where they will scrimmage? I was told that if it rains they will play @ Dayton. If it doesn't then Nederland... any truth to that?

They will be in Nederland the scrimmage is set for Thursday I been told if rains on Thursday they are going to push it back to Friday

Thursday scrimmage screws my schedule up but will still be at the game. Would like to see it pushed backed to Friday but definitely don't want to see Nederland raining deep balls to their receivers.

It needs to stay Thursday... but just need to know if it stays scheduled in Nederland... and the daytonisd website says Thursday...

For now, Weather Channel is saying 30% for Thursday....but us SETexans know that can change at any given second  ;)

Great stategy!  Deep passes all game long in the rain.  Man, you are the next Darrel Royal.

It sounds like Nederland's defense line is the best in the area and Dayton's offense line is young  and only one starter back.  Nederland should control Dayton at the line?

Nederland sounds like they have one of the best passing game with their star receivers.  How is Dayton's DB?

Lets not exaggerate too much here.. Our QB only has 3 quarters of experience at the varsity level and that was a scrimmage. He does have some good targets, but lets not get carried away. I'd like to see improved run blocking, better tackling, and better touch on the long balls this week. The QB looked good after the first quarter last week and should continue to improve as he gets more experience.

This should be a fun test for both as usual. Much different opponents than either team faced last week. Here's to a great week of practice and an injury free scrimmage for both squads.
