Dayton at Nederland scrimmage/ Post comments here

I know the special teams isn't live or anything but I really hope Dayton's punter speeds up his punts come week 1 because if not there might be several blocks this year on him.

Running looked good just still weak at the tackle position numerous times he was on his back or getting tossed around.

Nah, I just like when people say we are "the new Lumberton". It's fun having a good football team and good coaching staff and a great fan base. We had quite a crowd just for the scrimmage. I believe it's gonna be a good football game for the black and gold bowl.

what impressed me the most from last week to this week is the DB play Krautz played well for a sophomore just needs more experience but over time that will come Kimler with his 2 ints. Seay was laying the wood and getting good separation from the WRs when they were blocking him. And I want to say he was 21? laid a huge hit on a wr was getting off blocks great coverage over all was great I really thought this was going to be our weak link on the D but tbh it is a strong point not as strong as our D line but they are dangerous good Hughes reminds a lot like carr he was making plays all night DeShawn and Malveaux were there normal selfs and holmon was holding his own, LBs need some work I would have like to maybe see a few people try out for lb. the middle linebacker needs a lil better footwork get his head on the swivel and when it is a run play he needs to come down hill a lil faster. to many times I saw the linebackers drop back on a run and come down when it was a pass. Minor tweaking and some coaching and the D will be great again

Nederland should wipe the field with Crosby it sounds like?  If Dayton is to finish ahead of Crosby.  The game to watch next Friday is Nederland vs Crosby??

#18 for Dayton real nice speed, why not in more?  Dayton looked young and small.  I think Dayton might have a problem this season....looked middle of the road...weak in some areas

I agree ! I don't know where will end up this season but I don't see a DC . The defense looked flat and the line could not contain ned dline. I hope they get the kinks worked out out or they might just miss the playoffs this year.

Yall are very young this year and these first few weeks might catch hell about how "bad" Dayton is but really yall are just inexperienced and very young. Give it a few weeks and I believe Dayton will grind it out and find a way to get into the playoffs a lot of work needs to be done as a whole for Dayton but I saw good things to come for yall best of luck with yalls year!
