It must suck sharing a stadium with other schools in the district.

Other than having to play on Thursdays and Saturdays, not that bad.

And a scrimmage during the...makes it hard for the fans to come out and support the team.

SC - first teams look good on both sides of ball.  Chatman is a big running back and fast 4.4 220 pounds.  They have two other running backs that look just as good.  Tall receivers 6' 4" 6"3 etc.

Hard to tell the kids apart because half of them had no numbers on them.  SC had kids running in and out so you could not tell who is starting.  They did have some big defense linemen that started 2d team but could start for them,  The Nt look 6' 3" 280 on the 2dn team??

All I can say is that they do have some good players on their team.  KP will give them all we can, but they do have a good team.  They go to 5A in 2014 and there is a big difference from 4a to 5a.

I have not seen any 4a team make the jump except for Manvel.  Teams that have been 4A for long time need to stay in 4A.

You guys gotta realize GP is not that good, they suffer the same fate Channelview goes thru: the talent is over at North Shore.

GP finished fifth place in the toughest district in the region. Not great, but decent at least.

They must have done really bad...not one fan on here bragging ;D

No need to brag about a scrimmage against a rebuilding program.  Great controlled practice,  no injuries,  coaches got to see a few things, that's about it ...............but since you expected someone to say something. ...... it's gonna suck to have to drive all the way back to the reservation after that track meet we're gone put y'all through!  ;)

Im going to be honest...SC is one team that will live up to the hype...No shame in the Indians losing to a great team. If we get SOME points on the board, it will be good enough for me.  :D

most 5A schools have numbers like those... they are good for a 5A team playing in 4A. they would get rolled in 5A

Stop acting the kids have a chioce in where their school is classified.  They play who they are told to play............gotta complaint,  write UIL! ;)

So back to the outcome of the scrimmage . . . .

What was the outcome?

Galena Park had a very good offense last year, but no defense.  Friendswood's game against them was an offensive explosion with the combined points over 110 I think.  Their speed outside was scary.

Lets hope y'all can live up to the hype this year and actually make noise in the playoffs instead of watching from home come December. Looking forward to seeing the 10,000 "faithful" that we've all been hearing so much about. Our fans will drive the 2 hours to Humble on a Thursday night to show support. The question is ....will yours make the 5 minute trip to the stadium?? We shall see. Good luck. Hope to see an injury free, disciplined match-up this year.

GP defense was a big up front average 250-260 but little slow.  I thought their DB was their best on defense.  Their middle LB's were good but outside smaller and slow.

GP Off. was lead by their QB that was a excellent runner but not so good passer (3 int).  Their runner backs are small but quick.

Keep in mind that SC off. line was 305,340,270,280,250 so they were going against a big line.  SC qb Aron Sharp is one of the best in Texas 6"3"200 pounds but SC back up QB is 6'4" 210 pound and is a running and good passer as well.

GP did not score on SC #1 defense but SC defense is bigger and quicker then last year.  The one thing I notice is Sc has two big Safetys this year.  Last year they were both 5'10".

[/quote]december? They can't get out of November. And if its like the last Thursday game i saw them play: they will be lucky to have 3,000 fans there (not including band, drill team and security) i agree also: hope its an injury free game.

SC was just like us at KP when we first started small crowds for new school.  SC is starting their 4th season and has small crowds compared to Ned and PN.  I think it is great that NED and PN has the following they do and maybe once we have more years under our belt at KP and SC we will too.

It sounds like NED is the team to beat this year not SC!!
