I'm not sure why he's projected as a pocket passer, but IMO he's the 3rd or 4th best dual-threat qb behind Murray and Gibson. http://247sports.com/Player/Zach-Gentry-30305 Quote

OldTimer Posted May 15, 2014 Report Posted May 15, 2014 After Texas's last few years production from the QB position you would think the last worry that Texas might have is having "too many" options at QB. Quote

cougar14 Posted May 16, 2014 Report Posted May 16, 2014 He would have one year. Not really a comparable "prospect". Yeah, you're right. Maybe the staff decided not to slow the growth of Swoopes and Heard, they have to know Ash won't make it through the season? From the sounds of it though, they were pleased with what Ash had done so far on the Spring. I just think in today's recruiting game it's too coincidental that Gentry commits on the 12th and you get this tweet on the 14th. Part of the pitch perhaps? Quote

I know some diehard UT fans out here and it was mixed feelings about the guy, mainly his recent recruiting methods. I wasn't there but thats what was told to me. Quote

Now it's coming out that he won't graduate until December, so he could not play this year.http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20140516_USC_quarterback_cant_transfer_to_Hawaii.html?id=259584981&mobile=true Quote
