whatnamecanipick Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Why would an Aggie consider progress to be measured by wins? Coach Sumlin lost two more games last year and Aggies were ecstatic! [sharedmedia=core:attachments:254] Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 A National title is simply something we have recently experienced and something Aggies know nothing about at least not in Macks lifetime, so it does not count. Quote

OldTimer Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Texas finally wins a game against and overrated WVU (who have they beaten?) and now they are progressing - but Texas fans seem to have a short memory - did not they lose 23 - 0 to a good team (not overrated)? I have always stated that Strong was a good hire - but Texas has not been even close to the team that most predicted pre-season - Strong still has a long way to go to get Texas back into the NC chatter. What were "most" predicting pre-season? 4th place from what I can remember. That's about accurate. They have not lost to one team they were expected to beat. Quote

According to the pundits on Saturday, he is only a year or two away from being in the mix. I'm not saying pundits know everything but they do get paid for their opinions, unlike you and me (which is extremely unfair btw). Quote
TxHoops Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 If they make a bowl game this year (best chance is beating a reeling Ok St team), they will certainly have surpassed any expectations that I or any realistic Texas fan had before the season's start. Quote

We all knew WVU was overrated when they almost beat Bama this year. I mean, has Bama blown anyone out? Even really bad teams? Quote

Well not really Projected wins Texas- 7.5 wins A&M- 6.5 wins You only need to win 6 games to make a bowl btwhttp://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2014/5/22/5741808/2014-college-football-betting-odds-win-total-over-under-5dimes Quote

FYI, Vegas lines have little to nothing to do with what they think the result will be. The soul goal is to try and achieve equal action on both sides of the bets. And since Texas has long been one of the bigges sports betting states (esp football), that is a heavy factor in setting the numbers. And they don't only love to bet, the love to bet on their teams. It is a long, well known principle by sharps that most of the time, you are giving away some equity betting on UT, Notre Dame, and USC. Just the way it is. Oregon is quickly coming into that conversation. Quote
TxHoops Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 And on point, I didn't reference Vegas. I referenced realstic Texas guys like myself. I know more than a few who made a nice little Christmas bonus taking under 8 wins on the Longhorns. Quote

TxHoops Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 Charlie only speaks the truth. And if he testifies that Wick has play calling duties, he will be telling the truth. They haven't played a single game this year where wick hasn't decided what plays will be run on some of the downs. Quote
