Ec --- Shepard

Wow. Really, Shepherd did not throw their top three pitchers at all. When Shepherd took their varsity starters out after 6 innings the score was 11-2 Shepherd (so that score was against Shepherds 4 thru 6th pitchers) . Shepherd then put in their back ups and for two innings the entire infield was either soph. or Freshman. While EC kept most of their varsity in the game. Come on guys if you were not their and didn't see it maybe you shouldn't comment. Oh and before you say it they played either 9 or 10 innings.

Aggiesarewe, Silsbee is a better overall team, but I will take Shepherds 1-2 punch at pitching over any other two their is. Also you may want to chill a bit, you are starting to sound like you are from WOS.

Scrimmages are for the coaches to see who can play where, and to get everyone a chance to show their abilities and get some live work in. Not play varsity level all 7-10 innings and not put any lower level players in. Its a scrimmage so don't read too far into this score. Also how the weather has been I'm sure either team has not had a whole lot of scrimmage work or live work from practices lately. Most of the time scores are irrelevant in scrimmages and nobody cares what the score is it's just to get extra work. Glorified practice!

agree 100%, That is exactly what Shepherd and EC was doing, neither team was worried about anything but looking at depth and see where certain kids will fit in to what they are doing. Both coaches moved kids around and got what they needed out of it.

AAW: let it go man! Silsbee is an all around better ball club than Shephard, But you have to agree Shephard is going to be tough with their top two guns on the mound; it takes next level hitting to stand at the plate and hit 93 plus pitching; that's why scouts show up, because it is next level pitching. I know you would throw your beloved Tigers in the ring with anybody and that's honorable and loyal, but there are other teams that have certain aspects of their game that out shines Silsbee.

I agree with what you are saying. But last Friday when all the scouts were in Shepherd Tyler threw 99mph on most guns and 100 mph on a few and that wasn't just one time. Just thought I would throw that out there. lol. That is why they show up.

I also agree that Silsbee is a very good baseball team. I have said on a bunch of post that if Shepherd doesn't find way to score (because they do not swing the bat that well at this time) then it doesn't matter how great the pitching is. No doubt Silsbee is the better overall team, I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that. But kids like Tyler don't come around too often.
