PhatMack19
There have been 5 receivers run sub 4.4 so far. All of those parents in the HS forum that think their kids run 4.3's need to watch this and add 0.2 to their kids time.

TxHoops
Mike Evans just ran a 4.47 40. '6"5 231 lb WR. Not bad! He is going to make someone a very productive at worst, all world at best receiver. He is as close to a can't miss first round pick as it gets. TxHoops
Adam Schefter â€@AdamSchefter 6m UNOFFICIAL 40 times: Johnny Manziel: 4.56 Derek Carr: 4.65 Jordan Lynch: 4.72 Tajh Boyd: 4.75 Blake Bortles: 4.81 AJ McCarron: 4.91 Carr made some money with that run. As for Bridgewater, no need to run. If he's not going to run a faster time than Manziel (which he wouldn't), there is no reason to give Manziel another chip in the race for which of the two is the first QB drafted. Peppermint Patty
Teams in the NFL are not going to pay him millions to run. His 40 time is useless. Bridgewater didn't run. Baba Ganoush
Brady ran 5+. Dumb metric for QB. Even with the "new" mobile QB.

baddog
Johnny Football runs 4.56 40. Fastest among QB's. Didn't I just read where 3 other QBs ran faster 40 times than Manziel's 4.68. UTfanatic
TxHoops
Whether Manziel or Bridgewater run a 4.5 or a 4.8 isn't that big a deal from the QB position. Manziel's elusiveness and playmaking abilities are his greatest assets. His greatest weakness is his size. Whether he translates to the NFL remains to be seen. There is not a QB in this draft though that is a lock (as with most drafts not containing John Elway or Andrew Luck).
shovel
I read an intersting tidbit about the combine. Baylor has 6 players at the combine, more than UT or A&M. While all 3 A&M players are projected first rounders, none of the Balor guys are expected to be drafted early. Still a heckuva change for 6 players from Baylor expected to be drafted into the NFL! PhatMack19
@SportsCenter: Jadeveon Clowney ran a 4.47 in 40-yard dash in his 1st sprint at NFL Combine today. Clowney measures at 6-5, 266 pounds. Still unofficial, but that is still flying for a guy that big.

Oh wait they will change a rule to where Watt and The Freak cant hit to hard.

For his position, which skill set is more important: speed of strength?

PhatMack19
God told him to leave the combine and not workout and he would be selected by the Seattle Seahawks. Hmmmm let me know how that one works out for him. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=10510240&src=desktop Mr. Buddy Garrity
