KFDM COOP Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 If you could only use "one" type of lureIf you could only use one type of lure from now on what would it be?Consider a lure that would be effective overall at different lakes across the country and in different conditions throughout the year.
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Freshwater- i would have to say Rat-L-TrapSaltwater-silver spoon
PNG Proud Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 freshwater Super Salty Fluke watermelon......awesomeSaltwater......Riptide shrimptail
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 freshwater Super Salty Fluke watermelon......awesomeSaltwater......Riptide shrimptailriptide shrimptail? wat is that?
PNG Proud Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Very similar to the typical Kelly Wiggler type shrimp tail, but it has legs on the side. They're heavy enought to throw too. Actually, my all-time favorite is Culprits Shrimp Tidbit...but they don't make em any more. >
wtmoody8 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 1/4 oz black/blue stanley finesse jig w/ baby paca craw trailer
vp93 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 No matter what the weather and or season, I always have a spinnerbait tied on one of my rods. My old stand by is a stanley 3/8 white tandem (silver, gold).
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 yea your right about that you can never go wrong with a spinnerbait!
KFDM COOP Posted January 17, 2007 Author Report Posted January 17, 2007 Had a Pro Fisherman tell me one time years ago if there not biting a worm or spinnerbait they ain't a Biting. ;D
duke2559 Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I guess the spinnerbait is the most versatile so that is the bait i would chose. But my favorite bait lately has been the different creature baits for flipping, regular texas rigs, and carolina rigs. I ve just been doing real good with them the last two years. Examples: sweet beaver, baby brush hog, nories bug, etc.
dewvillesports07 Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 fresh water would be a red bug wacky worm riged texas stile without the waite nail in the tail or a pearl white bass assasine riged for top water hook exsposed ar with a jig head weedless for deep water cold conditions salt water cant go wrong with a 5 inch read and white rapala own one rod and a 1 ounce silver rattle trap own the other rod trolling two rods off shore
tvc184 Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Since Coop asked what one "type" of lure, I would go with crank baits.
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Rat-L-Trap, cant go wrong with it no matter where you fish!
Lucky Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Rat-L-Trap, cant go wrong with it no matter where you fish!YOU SAID IT.......................... Fresh or Salt, the TRAP catches fish !
