rleefelt
Went on a quail hunt east of Wichita and saw some very big deer. Found some sheds that were very heavy and impressive. Found a skull of a buck approx 5 years old when he died. Fourteen point non typical. People in the area were impressed but not awed. Said that was typical for the area. I know where I'm going to hunt next year, in my aunt's pasture.

East Texas is notorious for the old saying "if it's brown, it's down". Any deer over 6 weeks old in east Texas is taking a serious risk of being shot if it ever steps out into the open. bronco1
True enough, I have seen some pretty stupid stuff go on in East Texas Deer camps.Camp meat, 4 points, using every woman in camps tags instead of the shooters . Anybody else ever seen that.Anyway, if you got a place to hunt in Kansas, jump on it.
