goldenlady Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Jace Borderlon ( not sure about the spelling ) pitched 6.5 innings and then Beau Stuart finished up for Nederland. Overall, I thought Nederland did quite well for a rebuilding year and being the first game of the season. Quote

mytwocents-28 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 And i thought Vidor was supposed to be in a rebuilding year. goldenlady 1 Quote
goldenlady Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Could have been worse...we kept it to 6 runs, they didn't get double digits on us...so yes, they did quite well! Quote

Nederland pitcher. 0 bbs. He threw alot strikes. I dont know his name but he did good, Vidor got the hits. Vidor will be tough to beat this season. TEXASLH07 1 Quote
JRidge Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Central 11 Ozen 10 Good game Jaguars, these kids are developing quite well! Hard fought battle by both teams! adminbaberuth 1 Quote
dBerrySports Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 My first baseball game of the season. I was impressed by the PNG pitchers (Logan Ashworth can bring it). They definitely have a staff that can tape them deep in the playoffs in my opinion. Lumberton made some simple mistakes that can be fixed. goldenlady 1 Quote
TEXASLH07 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 I can honestly say that Foshee was the best pitcher Nederland has seen all year...the young man threw a great game! I hope Price's injury is not serious...need him come Friday but we will really need him come next week against LCM and PNG. Bordelon did a good job on the mound and the freshman Kemp continues to impress me. We gotta keep the errors down or it will be a long season! JRidge Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Disappointed that my son couldn't continue pitching after being hit in the knee as the 2nd batter during the 1st inning. He had only given up 1 run but hopefully he will be ok, still in a little pain. Ozen will be fine as these young guys gain experience, (1 Fresh), (6 Soph), (2 Juniors) & (2 Sr) played. Congrats to Ozen's JV for their 10 - 2 victory over the Jags! Lots of young talent but need to learn the game. Quote
shell005m Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Errors lose games and Hits win them. I have faith & believe the Bulldogs will get it together! Really cant base a season on 1 game. Im sure lots of nerves were on edge! I know mine sure was ;) goldenlady and TEXASLH07 2 Quote
