Dick Vitale Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 Congrats Coach Price! Good move LU! Quote
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 Congrats Coach Price! Good move LU! I agree!! Seen and heard he's already making his rounds around the local basketball scene this past 2 weeks. And I doubt Indiana will see too much of LU. Just recently saw an article about Indiana basketball and how its fell off. Quote
Razor Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 wish him all the best and glad to hear that he is hitting the local schools...it's time to get Lamar back to playing the kind of basketball that we were used to in the 80's...good times! Quote
Alpha Wolf Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I didn't make a single LU game this year because of the looser coach that was there. As we all see, your name doesn't mean that you can coach. Good luck Coach Price. I know you will at least ATTEMPT to bring in some of the better local talent along with some good talent from around the state. And I'll be there to support you next year... Quote
Alpha Wolf Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 Too bad he only has 1 scholarship to offer this year. Unless there is a hidden gem out there, I say roll it over to next year's class... Quote
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 He will have more than one schollyone year renewable school is will free it up everytime. Quote
freeze 1914 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Im excited for my former coach. It should be interesting at LU. I know one thing, they will be alot tougher on the defensive end. This will be a great fit Lazeek 1 Quote

Sfajacks10 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 He can free up space if he needs too. You can cut players from the team at the end of year if they aren't performing at an expected level. Academics or disciplinary issues during the year can be reasons to cut a kid loose. Quote
usedtobe Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Count me in as a supporter of Coach Price. I believe we'll see team improvement (more W's - fewer L's), more area recruitment and less turmoil among the squad. If ever you see Coach Price do a TV interview where he is coming down on a player, much less the entire team, that will be the FIRST TIME. Good fortune to you and the Cardinals, Coach. Quote
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 BD, I'm having trouble understanding this. Can you/will you please explain? Sorry, I meant to type a one year renewable schollie. If players don't produce, you release them from their scholarship. Quote

NorthoftheBorder Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Well Dove, will some of your family be playing for LU in few years??? Quote

Lazeek Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 Understand that a player must have a 2.6 GPA and transfer to a Division 1 school or it will have negative effects on LU's APR. If the APR number falls below a certain number than LU can be reprimanded by the NCAA by a reduction in scholly, etc. Quote
