Salesman
Are we talking about the same Tremaine Thomas that played at Arkansas? Yes, I am very aware of who he is, and what he was capable of. This kid from Kountze is quicker, and has a lower center of gravity. I am not comparing athletic talent, at all. There are several dimensions of speed, and the Arnold kid, is as light on his fight and unpredictable as anyone I have ever witnessed. What he is capable of doing on a football field, is beyond me? IT'S IN THE BONE
It's his ability to start, stop and start while changing direction and then accelerate...I have seen the kid absolutely fold people up and be left tackling air or fly in out of nowhere and pick a ball off that was extremely well thrown and placed. Look I know there are a lot of really good kids out there and Arnold is not superman, but he is several steps above average and head and shoulders above just being good in my opinion he is in the upper levels of excellent. Bottom line, Arnold is a one man game changer at the 2A / 3A level and a high impact player at another high school level and with another two years left in high school to develope even further...well let's just say its gonna be something to watch! This next year baring injury ect...and praying to the good Lord that the creek don't rise...I think he will be a Willy Ray Smith nominee and may win a category. eagleswoodville#1
I don't think Arnold will be as good as Tremain Thomas. Now he is a great football player. And just as quick as Tremain. But he doesn't have the open-field speed or football IQ that he does. Now he still has time to develop as a football player, but he will earn his college education on hardwood.
aTmfan06
Doesn't have the open field speed? Football IQ? Lol he is only a sophomore.. ran a 4.5 40 during football season.. he has a football IQ lol Salesman
Salesman
Doesn't have the open field speed? Football IQ? Lol he is only a sophomore.. ran a 4.5 40 during football season.. he has a football IQ lol I believe the 4.5 will become 4.4 or better within the next two years. I've talked to his coach about his potential and if his coach thinks he is next level talent, I'll take that check and cash it all day. The audacity of some people on here amazes me; making effort to sum up the potential of 15 year olds and such.
IT'S IN THE BONE
Hardwood? if he was 6' 3" or better I could see banking on that...but 5' 11" to 6'...dont know...Football D-1? All day long!
texas13
He is 5'9"
eagleswoodville#1
I didn't say he didn't have it lol I said Thomas' was better. At this point there's not much of a comparison IMO. We will have to see how he develops as I football player in the next couple years.
aTmfan06
Except he is quicker
Salesman
Yes, his coach was talking about his "football" potential. He will play D1, in my opinion.
eagleswoodville#1
There's a lot of factors that go into playing D1 football. I think he's on the right track. But let's all relax and just enjoy watching him develop into a heck of a football player and athlete.
whsalum
Never saw the kid play football but his potential on the hardwood is thru the roof. I gotta say I had the opportunity to watch Tramain for years and I've never saw a sophomore that I would compare to him. Hope Graylon stays healthy, he will be fun to watch. eagleswoodville#1
Highly doubt he passes on playing basketball lol And that could end up being a hindrance if he wants to end up playing D1 on the football field. But I also don't see him not playing basketball.
