I guarantee if the FBI raided the admin offices of Lumberton, PN-G, Nederland or any other "majority Caucasian" run school district, it would be in the news just as much. Same with the TEA issues.

Yeah it's crazy how we didn't find out about the coach who had improper relationships with a student from memorial had previous problems while coaching at Nederland, till after he had gotten in trouble at memorial for the exact same thing. I know Nederland, Local media did a great job of covering that. Lumberton etc districts are just as corrupt, they're just better at covering it up.

Racism caused two district employees to still 4 million, overpay Calvin Walker out the butt, take excessive trips then lie about it among many other things, and have the FBI and TEA called in because your district is so corrupt Al Capone blushes. So let me get this straight. Some of you peeps believe that the majority of BISD's problems are blown out of proportion, made "mountains out of mole hills", treated unfairly by local media and if any other local ISD had these same issues, the media and others would treat them differently, correct? smh

No one is condoning or defending the wrong doings in BISD. Anyone that knows me knows that I have been saying that the entire school board should be replaced! Fact is the local media runs stories over and over about the bad things that happens in BISD but, hardly ever mentions other school districts. How long ago did the Nederland kid bring a gun to elementary school? If that was BISD, the story would still be running. I don't know Atkins but, if he has his credentials and the charges were dropped then you guys shouldn't be on here talking about BISD hired a child molester.

We all know why the things BISD does get blown out of proportion in the media. Simply because the leaders of the district are black. And most of you all hate that for obvious reasons. With all this said BISD will continue to be the most successful and hated school district in the area. It's really simple though if you don't like BISD don't send your kids there.

Look, at this point if you are defending the BISD administration at this point with everything that has come out you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.  If you don't care what your tax money goes to or how it's used, it would suggest just going ahead and throwing it in the trash or send it to me.  You would get the same results.  For the people who have children in the district you should be very concerned about how what is going on is affecting your children's education and the teachers that are in charge of that education.

Personally, i'm fed up with the whole situation. Those that need to be Jailed, please do so, but I have kids in BISD and we will prevail regardless. All of this is out of our control, but can't whine about our situations but we are aware. Voting is the key, and our VOICES need to be heard.  I agree that there is a double standard on the reporting.  There is a Bias in the reporting and we all know it, but that goes with the Territory. This doesn't excuse the wrongdoing of BISD. I'm Ashamed for the light our kids & community are put in because of some greedy, immoral idiots that were voted into positions. This crap has to stop & i'm sure i will be called a troublemaker, but that line forms around the corner for me.

I think someone should make a list of all the wrong doings of each school district and post them.....and see where Beaumont lands....

Really cause they was talking about shutting HD down and make it part of LISD...Liberty has already taken part of Raywood but those issues never made media news!!

Am I'm not at all defending what BISD done, I honestly could care less. But let's not act like everybody else's school district is peaches and cream. A lot of great things/people come from BISD and you never see it covered as much in the local media. For example Central's recent state appearance was that covered as much as this BISD scandal?  If the FBI and TEA had been called on other schools I might listen to your media bias......but they have not, so I don't

It was covered on every local media outlet.  NISD and NPD handled it.

That's because they are rumors, not facts. Never happened, never going to happen. Those sane rumors start every 5 years or so then go away. Not even a fair comparison between the two.

No sir you're the idiot, my kids being in BISD hasn't kept them from being honor students. Yes we have problems, but my kids don't have a choice but to get it done. The district isn't the problem, it's some that run it. Furthermore, being A proud Black Man I never use race as an excuse. So don't ever in your Rabbit *** life disrespect me like that. I have high Moral Standards & i expect the same from ALL kids I come in contact with. You are the RACIST, I can feel it through the messages you leave on here.
