IT'S IN THE BONE Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Aiden is a pitcher that in my opinion would be all over the radar with you guys if he had not have sustained an injury last season...If he has is "A" game he will be tough, IMO better than anyone BC has faced. chukslegacy 1 Quote
Critter Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Anybody???? Foshee (VIDOR) is proven to be one of the best in the area. I guess we will see what Aiden has this year... Have you looked at BC's schedule so far???? Take a look: http://txhighschoolbaseball.com/3a/21-3a/ Quote

Critter Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 [/quoteNow I can say I looked at it. So you think he will be the best pitcher that BC has faced? Quote

The above May be an opinion but a guaranteed fact is that Shugart is better than anyone WOS has faced. Both Anderson's are quality pitchers, not much difference between the two. WOS is fortunate to have them both. BC has seen their share of quality arms this year from Foshee(Vidor), the PNG staff, Lumberton's White and Campbell, Griffin (Silsbee), big lefty from Cameron Yoe, just to name a few. That stacks up more than favorably when comparing schedules. Rake1 Critter 1 Quote
whoisatfirst Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Aiden Anderson is a legit D1 pitching talent. Fastball tops out about 87 with a hard late breaking slider. If he has his best stuff on Friday night this could be a great pitching duel between him and Shug. Quote

TxHoops Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Just my opinion but Silsbee prob has one of the best hitting teams in the area and they struggled hitting Shug, so I agree with "footballfan1135" +1 Quote
IT'S IN THE BONE Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Topping out at 87 isn't that hard. No but his project-ability is higher...not saying he is Pro stock right out of high school but I can see a D-1 coach giving him an opportunity. Quote
TxHoops Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Been a while since these two knocked heads and it actually meant something! It's not WOS's fault that BC sucks in every sport but baseball and cross country... Quote

I don't disagree with that at all. The kid is good. I was simply stating 87 isn't that hard. He probably pitches in the 83-85 mph range, and against good hitting teams you better be able to locate that really well. Quote
Horns89 Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 He is good at hitting his spots. I was at HF game he threw and he hit 88 several time. In the 7th and 8th inning he was still hitting 84-85. Kid is one of the best pitchers in area. Quote
Rake1 Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 It's not WOS's fault that BC sucks in every sport but baseball and cross country... Not that it means anything more than a statement on a message board but here's a little something to ponder. Lets concede that the sport of choice at BC is baseball and football is king at WOS, safe statement. Which school has been closer to winning district in the other schools "top" sport more recently? Take a minute to think....... BC (football 2011) Rake1 Quote
TxHoops Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 I am thinking about BC's competitiveness, or lack thereof, on the hardwoods.... Quote

As a matter of fact, I've only seen one that throws harder than 87. For the record I have him topping out at more than that. That's all of the tips I'm giving today. lol Quote

Fevertree Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Can anyone refresh my memory on who John Patterson and the Mustangs lost to in the final district game of 1996. For those that do not remember Patterson, John was a Prep All American and was the 5th overall pick in the 1st round of the 1996 MLB Draft. Thanks. Quote

BobcatBaseball8 Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Both kids taking the mound are extremely special I would say arguably the 2 most dominant in the district It's all on who brings the sticks and who brings it at the right time Because we know this won't be a 15-13 game Every extra base will be crucial Quote
Franchiseball Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 I wouldn't consider BC a great hitting team. They have some great hitters. Buna threw a 2 or 3 hitter against them. I'm pretty sure Buna had more hits off of Shugart then BC had off of Kelly. Quote
