STiger85 Posted March 31, 2014 Report Posted March 31, 2014 Silsbee scores 3 in the top of the seventh to win the game. Two good pitching performances by Griffin and Anderson. Gore came in and sealed the deal for Silsbee. Go Tigers!!! Quote

AggiesAreWe Posted April 1, 2014 Author Report Posted April 1, 2014 WOS left way to many runners on base! 8 total, look forward to another matchup, great game! Those 8 LOB were in the first 3 innings. The last 4 innings WO-S had just 12 AB's. Griffin (4,5,6) and Gore (7) faced the minimum. Griffin and Gore were perfect the last 4 innings. (5 ground outs, 3 fly outs, 4 K's) Griffin had 9 K's and just 2 BB's. G. Anderson with 3 K's, 3 BB's, 3 HBP and 2 IBB. Silsbee had a total of 9 LOB. Quote
td Posted April 1, 2014 Report Posted April 1, 2014 Good game by both teams. Very competitive by both teams and both pitchers. At some point it would be nice to just compliment all of these young men for their efforts instead of getting in a pissing match every single game. My comments are not meant for any one person. Just comments in general. Some days they all have their best days and other times they don't perform at their best. Unfortunately I have those same days at my job. Great effort by every player I saw play in this game yesterday. Didn't see a kid make an error on purpose, strike out on purpose or even walk someone on purpose. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age or maybe I'm learning to appreciate the time and effort that each kid from each team puts into what they do. Just my opinion. Attack at will. I'm a man. I'm 40, well 48 but you get what I'm saying. lol twilyms, Critter and col1324 3 Quote
