thetragichippy
He helped create the mess he is in. If he was not "involved" in the problem, he would have distanced himself from the beginning and started solving problems. It appears he was letting the district run him instead of the other way around. I think it will be proven that he had an understanding of the legal/criminal issues going on in the district or he was too weak a leader to investigate the problems and just ignored them...... Either way......it's HIS ship that is about to sink!

tvc184
As an assistant superintendent, he knew exactly what he was stepping into. .......... and what was happening. Unless his job as the person that is second in charge of a huge district with hundreds of employees is only to play tiddlywinks in his office while Rome burns, he had to know that something was amiss. He might not have known about any criminality but he must have been blind or completely uncaring if he couldn't see millions of dollars disappearing and improprieties happening. It is not like this was a stunning set of revelations. The accusations of wrong doing and/or poor management have been there for years but because it may have some from the wrong neighborhood, it was ignored (and still is) under the guise of racism. thetragichippy
PNGFan
Look what Thomas did to Forest Brook ISD before they finally went bankrupt.
Tiger90
In the beginning it seemed like he was merely the fall guy. I felt bad for him but that quickly changed. With everything blowing up he had the opportunity to distance himself from the past but instead he has appeared to embrace/defend it. He could have came in and sent some of those like Lambert and Haynes packing. That TEA response "press conference" was a sham. The hiring of the football coach was poor decision making as is continuing to pay the old coach. There is really only two ways to view him: as part of the old regime who has tried to continue the corruption or as an inept idiot who has no decision making skills. tvc184
The way things are going, I wonder if the name "The Butch" will remain on the stadium on IH-10 or how soon it might come down?
