**BUNA at #11 SILSBEE Broadcast**/SILSBEE WINS 1-0 (9)

The Buna Cougars will take on the #11 state ranked Silsbee Tigers in 21-3A action, TONIGHT 7pm at the Tiger Diamond on the campus of Silsbee High School. Buna (12-6, 2-5) comes off a loss to district leader Bridge City, 6-0. Silsbee (13-5-1, 5-2) defeated Orangefield 21-2 in 5 innings to win their 4th straight district game. Buna defeated Silsbee in the first half of district play 4-3 in 9 innings and could use a win tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive. Silsbee is looking to stay within reach of Bridge City for a 2nd straight district championship.

 

 

Our broadcast will start at 6:50pm with first pitch scheduled for 7pm. Mike Sanchez and Tim Scoggins will call all the action.

Fantastic game tonite! 9 innings....WOW! Hats off to Brayden Griffin (Silsbee) and JM Kelly(Buna) for going the distance for their teams and throwing 9 innings each. Great performance by each of these guys. In a situation like this it's almost not fair that 1 guy has to lose, both were very good tonite. Congrats to Silsbee on the win. Buna is the best 2-6 team you'll ever see! 3 or 4 of those losses were by 1 run each time. Some really good baseball is being played in 21-3A, no doubt about it!

100% agree. Really felt bad for Kelly. He really did not deserve to lose this game, particularly in the manner in which it was won (or lost). But Griffin was more than deserving of the win. 0 runs, 3 hits, 10 K's, 1 BB in 9 innings pitched.

Best game I have seen JM pitch ever .... job well done.  Way to trust your catcher and throw your pitches.  Best game I have seen behind the plate as well from Jacob, so many effortless blocks with runners in critical spots. I am very proud of both you guys!!
