db21 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 LCM's jv beat PNG tonight... lefty dallas brown threw 6 and 1/3 innings striking out 7 giving up 2 runs and 3 hits. matt johnson had a couple of hits and tim barry had exceptional defense.... the jv is 8-1 and 1-1 in district
db21 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 stefan leger hyper extended his knee and sprained his ankle against lumberton and still caught a full 7 tonight without allowing a past ball
MJ23baseball Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Leger is one of the toughest players around and will work harder than anyone else to get the job done
Guest K-911 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 I heard that PNG's freshman beat LCM 7-0. Some kid for PNG threw a no hitter.
pngbbfan Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Since when does scouts get prospects names off of a message board. Probably a first ....
jdawg03 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Im sure this aint the first time and won't be the last......Seems like to me message boards are great assets for high school scouts
MJ23baseball Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 the freshman tim barry matt johnson dallas brown stefan cloeren(out) and stefan leger are not on the freshman team but i will be honest png does have a good freshman group and will compete good against the lcm class of 09
freshmanfan Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Lumberton freshman Lemaire plays varsity and does it very well, ck him out.................
MJ23baseball Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 from what i understand the select team southeast texas gators did have the lemaire kid on that team and he did not start infront of any player dont get me wrong u can make a big turn around in a year and also look at lumberton's varsity not a great match against lcm's But this class of 09 is gunna be some of the best games that we will witness for the next couple of years
raider09 Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 lumberton will have talent coming up from there jv and freshman levels
rookie Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 ive also done some checking and the lemaire kid was starting behind the hillin the kid........where is he today whats his status???
MJ23baseball Posted March 18, 2006 Report Posted March 18, 2006 Brandon Hillin is playing at Buna highschool on the Jv team and is also pitching for the varsity but i have been to one the Buna games and this kid is way better than the player in head of him .... another great player in the class of 09
callumlikeiseeum Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Since when does scouts get prospects names off of a message board. Probably a first .... They don't
jdawg03 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 lol...obviously your not a scout...i know of a couple message boards they use
MJ23baseball Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 so everyones honest opinion who will win district in 09 ?.....
ESPN Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Hard to say. I would say 1. LCM...2. Lumberton 3...Nederland
retiredoldcoach Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 lol...obviously your not a scout...i know of a couple message boards they use Scouts do not use this type of message board to look for prospects. You are misinformed on that topic. There are sites that are used daily by scouts. Moms, dads, and sons are answering the question, "Who can play in southeast texas"? If you read "all posts" by the "scouts" on this message board, it might point toward that the people that are aking this question are the same ones that I just told you are answering it. Although there are some very informed people that post here, no scout wants to hear from June, Ward, and even Wally, that the Beaver is a heck of a player. They will call the local coaches and come to the summer, fall and high school games.
adminbaberuth Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Although there are some very informed people that post here' date=' no scout wants to hear from June, Ward, and even Wally, that the Beaver is a heck of a player.[/quote'] I'm not a scout but even I wouldn't be fooled by the Cleavers, Beaver couldn't hit the curve ball. Now, I would take a chance on Lumpy, little slow but could hit it a mile.
