BLUEDOVE3 Posted April 29, 2014 Author Report Posted April 29, 2014 Here is a link to a blog post that pretty well sums up the whole mess.. Great post by Matt Walsh: http://themattwalshblog.com/ Its a tug -of-war happening here. You have one side who wants to ignore race and "lets just pretend" it went away. While the other side is saying, " here is another example that racism is not dead." Its definitely a great post if you want to continue pretending racism is dead in this country. Quote
stevenash Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 I see why Xavier Adams left Aledo now. Why did he leave? Did he get an offer from Yates? Quote

Dove, is it possible that, to some degree, both side are correct? Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 I was thinking that this story was a good diversion to keep everybody on this board from thinking about the BISD debacle, but I went on those threads and see that it is still alive and well!!what does BISD have to do with this issue? PAMFAM10 Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 It was clearly pointed out in an earlier post of a very racist remark made against caucasians. You summarily dismissed that quote as a non issue!!! Im clueless to What your referring to. Quote

bullets13 Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 I think this is the right result, but i'm curious to see the outcome of what's sure to be a long, well-funded legal campaign from Sterling. Silver will have certainly won the respect of the league's players with this move, and the owners will respect him in a different way, knowing he's no pushover. One funny thing about all of this: if Silver is able to force a sale of the Clippers, Sterling's "punishment" will be having to sell a team for close to a Billion dollars that he paid about 15 Million for. Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 This punishment today was more than just on Sterling, its more than that, this was an indirect warning to other owners that this type of b.s. wont be tolerated on his watch! Something that good ol boy David Stern couldn't (or wouldn't) do. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted April 29, 2014 Report Posted April 29, 2014 @SouthsideVic: David Stern would have gave him a 5 dollar fine and suspended him for 3 quarters. This is hilarious but damn near true. bullets13 and BMTSoulja1 2 Quote
