Kenny Hill or Kyle Allen?

Do you think Kenny Hill will start for A&M this season, or will Kyle Allen?  Kyle Allen is a pro-style QB while Kenny Hill is a dual-threat. Kenny hill has an extra year of experience with the offense but he has been in trouble with the law lately... So, opinions?

That's true, plus almost half the team has been arrested this offseason... So I'm led to believe that your assumption is the correct one.

Kyle Allen. Sumlin's offense is not designed for the QB to run (see Case Keenum). Allen has a big time arm and will do very well in that system.

This is getting real scary as I appear to agree with you agian  :P

 

Allen will likely be given the start and if he falters then Hill will be given a chance - but if Allen does well I think he is the immediate future for the Aggie's.

Kyle Allen looks like the read deal. Younger guy(prospect) usually gets nod with close competition.

there is an open door in Eugene for him if he wants to go. If not I wish him well at A&M, even though he would probably have to switch positions.

Depends if he really wants to play or not. It would not make sense to sign there unless he plans on red shirting.

Think it could make a big impact on his decision.  If Allen has a good to decent year Kyle Murray may well leave for other pastures.

South Carolina finished #5 in the country last year and Clowney wasn't that great for most of the year. Half of the time he was on the sidelines catching his breath.

from what I've read on SC they have to replace some key positions, wouldn't be surprised if they struggled early.

One thing that should probably worry Aggie fans is if Allen is named the starter would Kenny Hill elect to transfer (a la Jameill Showers in 2012)...leaving Allen as the only scholarship QB for 2014. Although I guess that scenario could play into the timing of Sumlin naming a starter

I can see that being an issue for this year, but even if Kenny Hill transferred they will be fine next year. (Assuming Kyler Murray actually ends up at A&M)
