He might not have been paid now, but I bet once he 's done at fsu, he'll be sure to get his cut. Let's see if he can wiggle his way out of his 'major' problem. That one will determine how his life is going to play out.

maybe - maybe not - the Honey Badger skipped a year after getting into trouble at LSU and is now getting a paycheck....it will only matter if the NFL extends their efforts to clean up their image and makes a statement.

Was referring to his 'legal' issue that is under investigation for some time now. That has evidently not been resolved.
On a better note, how 'bout them Bearkats!

I understand, but in the not so distant past, the NFL didn't worry itself with whether or not a player had legal issues...past or pending...but I like the direction they are headed...

Kinda like your Horns, not really a fan...but I'm liking what I see going on in Austin....like someone said...hopefully it trickles all the way down through high school...to the parents.

Hopefully the Kats can keep it going this weekend on the road and not have a let down after last weeks big win at home....

Jimbo blames ESPN

@ClayTravisBGID: FSU could have a rapist thief handing off to a wife-beating robber. It's ESPN and the SEC's fault! http://t.co/qKlz5EoaD7

@Mark_Schlabach: Filed to ESPN: Jameis Winston's attorney has requested a delay from FSU officials for the upcoming student conduct code hearing

Shocker! I'm sure they will delay it until sometime after January 12th just to be safe.

TMZ is reporting Jameis is under investigation for shaving points in the L'ville game.

Also, has anyone seen the 30 for 30 on him?

Jamies isn't the brightest, but he would have to be really dumb to shave points for only $5k. He could have found some wise guys and gotten way more than that.

Thinking the same thing. I can't remember the exact numbers but seems like that boston college 30 for 30 shown recently had those guys getting paid more than that by Henry hill 25-30 years ago.

    • Regardless of the offense, kids need a reason or purpose to play football. Normally, for most kids, football is something they genuinely enjoy playing, because most players won’t be suiting up on Saturdays. At the end of the day, the most successful teams have kids and coaches that genuinely love the game and get joy and fulfillment playing it.  Vidor’s two current biggest issues are the lack of appeal to play the game and a lack of community support. The offense has been the same for years, and Mathews did a great job of getting the kids and community behind his teams year in and year out. Vidor’s whole identity was being a team you hated to play because you knew you were in for a long physical night. That made the game fun for the kids who played, and they took a lot of pride in it. Currently, I would argue that the toxic attitude of the community towards the offense and Dubois in general is the biggest thorn in the team’s side. The need for instant gratification from fans is what is fueling it all. When the players go home or out in the community and hear: how bad the offense is, how bad the defense is, or how bad the coaching is, the players will begin to lose pride in the program, and the game is no longer fun. This leads to discipline issues and players quitting. Vidor has lost their identity and Dubois and the offensive scheme isn’t the culprit. The Vidor community needs to leave their objections of who they hired at the door and let the man work if they wanna be successful in the future.
