TxHoops Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 @mattgutmanABC: #NCAA says it's actively investigating allegations that "famous" Jameis Winston was involved in point shaving to win a bet. #FSU Can't imagine such an investigation would get completed any time this season... Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted November 11, 2014 Author Report Posted November 11, 2014 http://dystnow.com/2014/11/10/conversations-between-jameis-winston-and-chris-rabb/ Not sure how accurate this site is.Crazy if it's true. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Winston's hearing with the university has been postponed until December 1st (after the regular season.) A decision will be made within 2 weeks unless they need more time (wink, wink after January 12th.) Mr. Buddy Garrity and Roper84 2 Quote

Moot point after that since the school cannot punish a non-student. Quote

They announce the playoff pairings on December 8th so the Committe won't know his fate by then. Hopefully they lose a game so we don't have to worry about them. Quote

As long as he is academicaly eligible when the semester ends, he can play in their bowl game. He will then drop out of school. Quote

Fsu and Jimbo would get absolutely hammered publicly if they play him after he's kicked out of school. Quote

The committee is meeting in December. A ruling will not be made until much later. By then, Jameis will be long gone. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 Ok I get it now. The ruling will be made in 10 "school days." When School gets out in December the clock stops and doesn't start again until they start back in the middle of January. That's mighty convenient for the Noles. Quote

Bulldog92 Posted November 18, 2014 Report Posted November 18, 2014 I just got around to reading this thread and while the kid is talented, he's a flippin' idiot. Someone will be dumb enough to draft him early (Jets) and have to deal with his crap for five years...if he lasts that long. Quote

SKINS Posted November 22, 2014 Report Posted November 22, 2014 @ericsports: Wait what? https://vine.co/v/O1Bjp2PDMQn Uh oh Pretty sure what was meant was they can't keep playing on the brink of losing every game. Quote
KABrother Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 So Jameis shoved an official out of his way trying to snap the ball when the official was stopping play to allow substitutions...should have been 15 yards and an ejection yet the official didn't even throw a flag...guess they've been given strict instructions... I like Winston on the field. Its just off the field. We went through to much crap with vince. It's going to be a longgg offseason. Quote
Eazy Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Winston to enter 2015 NFL draft...He loses one college football game and now he doesn't want play anymore. Quote
OldTimer Posted January 7, 2015 Report Posted January 7, 2015 Sooo, who do you prefer- Jameis or Mariotta? My choice would be Mariotta hands down from what I know and see. Quote
