OT: The Neches River Wheelhouse?

Didn't know where to put this but wanted to make sure it was in a high traffic area on the forum.  Has anyone ate at the Wheel House?  What did you think?

Saw a Facebook post from someone who had a birthday celebration out tgere and said the atmosphere and food were great.

Saw it from afar at Riverfest. It was packed. Talked with some friends and they loved it.

Went there last week. Fantastic atmosphere. The menu is limited now but what's on it was good. I highly recommend it. Be sure to listen for the shot specials! Every time a ship passes they ring a bell at the bar to signal the special.

I live in Katy, so  yes I have.  But you can't charge Houston prices for food in Port Neches unless the food and atmosphere are worth the price.  I haven't been so I don't know if they can or not.

I heard about it this weekend.  A couple from my Sunday School class had gone and had really good things to say about it!!

Went there last week for lunch, no wait. If you go at night be ready to wait a while. Sat outside, it was great. Great staff. Prices are typical for anything not fast food or named Applebee's. No concerns on the price for what you get. The menu will expand, they wanted to be open by Riverfest, so limited now. Definitely worth it. They did a great job of bringing in the right group to run it. The Lonestar was ice cold!
