twobag Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Any thoughts on the district favorite? Tarkington lost one senior. Every starter is back.
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Liberty only lost one senior as well. ;D
frosty Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 im taking splendora and tarkington for the ship and im not too sure how the rest will play out. liberty might have only lost one starter but they were not that impressive anyways. i think tarkington owned them twice last year and werent even allowed to warm up when they played in liberty.
Wiggins_Crony Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 There shouldn't even be a question on the district fav. It's obvious. Tarkington is goin to the playoffs 10-0 and that's that. No one in the district has any competition for us. So what Liberty lost one senior. We still beat them both times last year and it's goin to happen again.
love the game Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Yea Tarkington only lost one player, but it was there only good pitcher. I wouldn't count out Coldspring, or Splendora. They both have good solid teams from what i've heard.
frosty Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 tarkington actually lost four or five but only two were solid starters and i wouldnt say that was their only good pitcher either. ive seen them bring a lefty and the cf that pitches too. the catcher had a few errors but batted well over .400. i think with splendoras loss of their catcher he should be a fav.
love the game Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I don't think that the loss of their catcher is what is goin to hurt them, because they have a kid that caught somelast year, I've heard does just as good if not better than their last years catcher. Whats goin to hurt Splendora is the loss of their center fielder, and best hitter who hit 500 in district last year and was the defensive MVP.
Guest sleeper02 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 The two favorites for 223A has to be Tarkington and Splendora, Tarkington has a lot coming back, but from what I am told so does Splendora, the Catcher they have now may be better than the one thay had last year......Crony, you might want to not talk so much noise with a user name that has Tarkingtons head baseball coaches name in it. If He is how I think he is he would not want you talking smack on here about how good they are. I pretty sure no one will go 10-0 in this district
Guest 12pack Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Crony..We are all glad that you have confidence in your program, I am VERY sure you DO NOT want to be posting iems that will give anyone else any extra motivation. If there is any more smack being spread I can assure anyone who reads it that it is in no way being delt by the Tarkington coaching staff. As for the district, it will be interested to say the least, to see how it unfolds.
frosty Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 i dont know about this years catcher being better, i believe last years catcher was calling some of the games by himself
love the game Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 I believe that both of the catchers called the games all year last year. Not just the one that left. Does anyone know if there will be any power hitters in this district this year. If you know any I'd like to know.
hardhitter35 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 i think we will have to wait and c who comes out ready to play when the season starts in baseball..tarkington i dont think you will b able to rape splendora or liberty!! Liberty should make some noise..
love the game Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 I say that Splendora, Tarkington, and Coldspring will be in the playoffs. But you can expect Shepherd and Liberty to be competitive, and maybe even slide in for the third slot. I would expect that Tarkington and Splendora will be making a run at the championship.
super stud Posted October 22, 2007 Report Posted October 22, 2007 Shepherd lost 2 seniors a pitcher and the first basemen. so dont forget about them cause baseball is a sports of oppurtunities and anything can happen.
HJ_3 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 in my opinion it doesnt matter because the teams coming out of 21 3a are alot stronger than any team coing out of this district....imo
PantherPride77 Posted October 27, 2007 Report Posted October 27, 2007 i am pretty sure tarkington didnt beat liberty a all last year. liberty went into tarkington stadium and if we would have come out with a win there we would have won the district cuz that loss put us in a tie with splendora and we had to have a playoff game for 2nd place representative in the district. and if i remember correctly yall only beat us by 1 maybe 2 runs so i know for a fact that that loss wasnt a beat at all.
East TX Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 Unfortunately for 22-3A any of 4 teams in any order will be able to take out 22-3As top three teams. It's just one of those years......
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 hopefully liberty will play hard and win district
Guest JackNtheBox Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Here we go again. It has already started and the comments are coming. This is 22AAA Thread, I know that some of you mouth breathing idiots over there have a hard time not getting off to how spactacular you are in every sport that you play. If you have nothing to contribute to the thread, but how bad 21AAA would beat the crap out of anybody, you need to un-insert your heads out of anuses(I know how much you like the smell of your own crap over there) and find a 21AAA thread and all you guys can talk about who could probably beat any MLB team in the country. I know I will probably get banned from this site again for slandering the almighty district, but who gives a :o :o :o :o
cardinalcc Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 How about the kingwood park school? I think they are freshman or freshman and sophmores only but could they maybe make the playoffs?
Guest raider4life Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 PantherPride77, i think a win is a win. And secondly, if i remember correctly, ya'll only were in 2nd place b/c of the flip of a coin, not by winning the game for 2nd in district.
Wiggins_Crony Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 I didn't even know this thread still exsisted. It was from last year. I will hold my tongue this year though. But just know I'm always arrogantly optimistic about our team.
