Anyone Kayak or Canoe

Looking for interesting kayak spots, I have paddled Lake Charlotte and Champion Lake

I got on a kayak once at crystal beach with a buddy to run bait out past the break. discovered a bunch of muscles i didn't know i had and was barely able to get out of bed the next day. i think i would have to train for a month just to be able to paddle across the river. lol :D

as to the question. Martin Dies State Park off 190 coming from Jasper just before Steinhagen, has a lot of cuts and slews off the main river that has some real good scenery and lots of wild life.

Try Chicken Crossing at Texas Bayou in Sabine Pass. You can also launch in Easy Bay at several spots. The Anahuac Refuge on North end or launch at Stingaree and paddle to Yates Bayou.

just for the sake of paddling not really but for fishing old river by i 10 is nice place if you put in at hugopoint and paddle across the lake to the marsh there is some reall interresting place back there to see.

Village Creek is one of the best canoe/Kayaking spots we have. If you catch it a couple days after a rain were the water is flowing above normal, makes for a great ride......

 

When it is at normal flow, good fishing if you know what you are doing......

 

Great sandbars for camping to....

 

I enjoy doing that with my son as much as taking my real boat out.
