BlackShirts5
Maybe she will come turn GCM's girls into a power house.
badndn
Maybe she will come turn GCM's girls into a power house. SHE didnt turn BH into what it is today. I'd give most of that credit to Kirk Hall and the area hitting and pitching instructors and the fact that those girls play on some pretty stout ASA teams throughout the years. bhsfan and bleedblue
bronco pride
Maybe she will come turn GCM's girls into a power house.nobody even knows what she did yet. Are you sure you would want her around your kids? bleedblue

bleedblue
Bronco Pride - I agree with you. Also, Hall is a VERY good one. Great teacher of the game. It would be awesome for the underclassmen for him to return to BH but I would be surprised if he does.
Steven Avery
Didn't BH screw around halls wife who was a teacher there? I thought I recalled that's why he left.
Peppermint Patty
Didn't BH screw around halls wife who was a teacher there? I thought I recalled that's why he left. I do not recall exatly why he left, but be did not leave beacuse he was "happy" that's for sure. He only stayed at GCM until his youngest daughter graduated. BlackShirts5
Maybe she will come turn GCM's girls into a power house. Well my kids are boys so I dont think I would have to worry about her lol. On the other hand I didnt realize the other coach was the real builder of the BH program. So let her go where ever she wants avay from our area. Pixie 78
She just got lucky with the talent that walked right into her hands. Those girls can coach themselves. She hindered them not helped. GCM ya don't want her. bleedblue
Eazy
Smith definitely inherited a good program in which she just had to maintain the status quo. This is the best shot for a state title for BH, with 7 seniors in the starting lineup and Smith won't get to see it play out.
Peppermint Patty
If you win, it's beacuse the players were so good. If you lose, it's because the coach was so bad.
sticky
Coach Smith's problems had nothing to do with any sexual improprieties. Coach Hall would not come back to BH. They treated his family the same way they treated the Smith's. "Those girls can coach themselves".....what a crook of crap. pallacanestro
Coach Hall was/is a good one. Coach Smith was/is a good one. As a coach at BH on the female side you better understand you will get wins but you will be under an enormous amount of scrutiny. They want state championships on the girls' side. If you don't win it all, they will want your job. Much easier for parents to say it is the coaches fault than their own children. And those who are saying she "inherited" a good program...don't you have to be a good coach to get a good job? Some will say inherited and some will say earned. I guess it comes down to your point of view.
badndn
For the record pallacanestro, I never said she inherited anything. Others did. I just said that the credit for the programs success started before she arrived. You are correct, BAD Coaches usually aren't given good coaching jobs....Usually.
