Gladtobehere Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 It was on his mind 92 thats why he wanted a one gamer Hey deputy, that wasn't on his mind..... You continue to spew crap at Silsbee because you hate the fact that Kountze is sitting at home. Remember Silsbee has been here just one year ago. Coach knows a lot about what will happen within a week, College Station has graduation this Friday night, so that night was out. For a three game series it would mean we had to play on Saturday (doubleheader). This would mean that our pitching staff would not be rested for the State Tournament! Remember once again Deputy, Silsbee has been to the dance and Kountze gets to watch. Quote

Socrates Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 No, they couldn't have gone Wed, Thur, Sat. Two-out-of-three • If a schools play a two-out-of-three elimination series, the first (and only the first) game may be played prior to Friday, provided there is no loss of school time traveling to or participating in the game. BoyMomX3 Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 College Station does not have Graduation Friday! They do not have seniors. And CS may be good but Silsbee is better! Tigers take this Epic Game and get plenty of prep time before Wednesdays start of the state tourney. Quote

CScougs Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 Silsbee is good but they're not College Station good. If they were better than College Station their coach would play a 3 game series. Can't really blame him though since Silsbee has zero chance of winning twice against this team. Quote

Them guys from C.S. know what they have coming Thursday .. They have all played together in summer league and the best of the best are on Silsbee team so there you go .! ;) Quote
BoyMomX3 Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 I truly hope CS keeps telling themselves that Silsbee doesn't have what it takes to beat them! That arrogance should carry them right into a brick wall Thursday night! BoyMomX3 and BADSANTA 2 Quote

PhatMack19 Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Scouting report for CS Most people think CS will mix Hines and Richardson in some way or another... Hines (Florida) - 88-92 with a plus plus slider. Can get himself into trouble by overthrowing, leading to walks. Very good athlete. Plays CF when he's not pitching. Richardson (Texas A&M) - 81-85 with above average secondary pitches. Will also get erratic from time to time. Wants to expand the zone. Hides the ball well. Rowlett (Oklahoma St) - 86-89. Going to college to catch. Good arm. Not much flash. Comes right at you. Competitiveness on the mound makes him effective. Other players of note: Ryan Johnson (TCU) Cody Staab (Rice) Walker Davis (uncommitted) Jaxxon Grisham (SHSU/Texas St) Mathew Bennett (uncommitted) Nick Kennedy (Texas) - injured. Out for season.
