Fracc Posted June 7, 2014 Report Posted June 7, 2014 Getting excited about one last game in the HS uniforms... Quote
PNGDAD Posted June 9, 2014 Author Report Posted June 9, 2014 I am excited to see them one last time. I am more excited to see them wearing their next uniform at college. Quote
PNGDAD Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 Nothing like seeing a PNG pitcher warming up with a Nederland catcher to make you wonder what going on with the world. Quote
Gabe Posted June 12, 2014 Report Posted June 12, 2014 Game set to start around 7 p.m. now due to rain Quote
Gabe Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 West wins 5-2. West MVP was Crosby pitcher Abby Walker East MVP was LCM slugger Taylor Fraccastoro Well played game. Vidor's Shanice Hagler and Orangefield's Kelsey Ancelot both had great plays in CF. They robbed West players of doubles with beautiful throws back to second to get the runners out. Good luck to all the players in their futures. Quote
Fracc Posted June 13, 2014 Report Posted June 13, 2014 This was a lot of fun and really special seeing my daughter take the field with a lot of girls that have played with or against each other since 8U. Congratulations again to all of the players, some great talent on both sides. Gotta believe many of these ladies will excel at the next level. Props to those mentioned above and those two defensive CF plays stood out. Really proud of some young ladies I have known a long time. Haley Mills was outstanding and didn't leave a clean spot on her uniform. Khandi Breaux pitched well allowing 1 ER in 3 innings and Hope Russell was magnificent in 3 scoreless innings. Also special to see Kelsey Beard double in her last at bat before swapping the cleats for the volleyball hardcourt. Congrats to Taylor Fracc, Ashlyn Monroe and Ariel Clogston on HRs. Quote
MEM Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 Yes it was a nice way for the girls to finish out their high school careers. Monroe from Coldspring came within a foot or two of homering both of her at bats. First ball hit top of fence. Quote
REALLY!!! Posted June 16, 2014 Report Posted June 16, 2014 This was a very competitive game. Both teams played hard and hit the ball well. Pitching was good also. I would also like to point out that this game would have NOT been played due to rain had it not been for some hard working parents and coaches. Some of the old CRUSH crew (Frank Frac, Frank Russell, and myself) along with Coach Ed Dyer(WOS), Coach Mac ( Huffman), Coach Smalley (OF) and the PAM maintance man pulled the tarp on and off the field and put quik dry and lots of raking of the field to get this game played for the girls. We only had to delay the game for 30 min when most thought it would wash out. Also a shout out to he umpires for donating their time and also money for the girls. I was proud to see some of the kids I have helped coach and coached against on both sides of the ball playing and hope they ALL move on to bigger and better things . Lightning/Eagle 1 Quote
