They still haven't said why Vandy's starting 3rd baseman got kicked out of the CWS

What's weird to me about it is he was ruled ineligible by the NCAA...so apparently he was eligible up until that point...school is out so it shouldn't be a grade issue...only other thing I can think of is if he had some kind of illegal contact with an MLB team or agent...but being a sophomore and not draft eligible yet that seems unlikely...would be a big mess if Vandy played with an ineligible player

Could have failed a drug test.

Augie wants an extension. Good for him. You should get spanked a little when you put the greatest manager in the history of college baseball on the proverbial hot seat.

5th in conference and he wants a raise?!? Smh....

Maybe...most times you hear that refered to as team violation and not being "ruled ineligible by the NCAA" though. With Vandy being a private school you may not hear what it was for a while...but the back up is playing damn good

Taking his team to one game from playing for the NC?.......PRICELESS!

I been told numerous times on this site that finishing #5 in the country, beating the Big 12-2 champ by 4td's, and winning the Heisman doesn't mean anything because they finished 5th in conference. I guess that's only true in football.

Maybe if you'd finished in the top 4....

Not by me. Don't care to play the tit for tat game. Google Augie Garrido and his list of accomplishments. The man doesn't even make $1 million a year. Pay the man!
