KABrother Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 They still haven't said why Vandy's starting 3rd baseman got kicked out of the CWS What's weird to me about it is he was ruled ineligible by the NCAA...so apparently he was eligible up until that point...school is out so it shouldn't be a grade issue...only other thing I can think of is if he had some kind of illegal contact with an MLB team or agent...but being a sophomore and not draft eligible yet that seems unlikely...would be a big mess if Vandy played with an ineligible player Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
TxHoops Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Augie wants an extension. Good for him. You should get spanked a little when you put the greatest manager in the history of college baseball on the proverbial hot seat. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Virginia is giving the game to Vanderbilt Quote

PhatMack19 Posted June 24, 2014 Author Report Posted June 24, 2014 Vandy wins game 1 by a score of 9-8. They were up 9-2 in the 3rd Quote

KABrother Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Could have failed a drug test. Maybe...most times you hear that refered to as team violation and not being "ruled ineligible by the NCAA" though. With Vandy being a private school you may not hear what it was for a while...but the back up is playing damn good Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 Score 9 runs in one inning and then hang on. Man that Kirby kid got rocked pretty bad. Matter of fact that inning I believe it was 5 straight walks. Yikes. Quote

PhatMack19 Posted June 24, 2014 Author Report Posted June 24, 2014 Taking his team to one game from playing for the NC?.......PRICELESS! I been told numerous times on this site that finishing #5 in the country, beating the Big 12-2 champ by 4td's, and winning the Heisman doesn't mean anything because they finished 5th in conference. I guess that's only true in football. Quote
