Unfortunately, Beaumont will not be a public eventĀ  ::)

HOUSTON -- On Thursday, the Astros announced the remainder of their 2007 Winter Caravan schedule, which includes stops in Monterrey, Mexico, and eight Texas cities.

Beginning Feb. 1, the Astros will spend the better part of a week visiting Beaumont, Round Rock, Austin, Laredo, McAllen, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, College Station and Lake Charles, La.

The Caravan features visits to schools and hospitals, meet-and-greets, luncheons, media sessions, and baseball clinics at a variety of locations across Texas and surrounding areas as well as free autograph sessions for fans at Academy Sports and Outdoors locations.

The first stop, Beamont, will not include a public autograph signing. Chris Burke, Brad Lidge, broadcaster Bill Brown and Asst. GM Dave Gottfried will visit Maplewood Middle School, Westbrook High School and Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Not sure how valid this is but I got information from someone saying that Lidge and Burke will be at IBEW credit union on Thursday at 4 signing autographs. You may be able to call the credit union to confirm.
