Best Barbeque Joints in Texas?

Due to my limited trust on bar-b-que joints, I have to say Gator Country. But Broussards in Beaumont is good too.

You gotta head further west Dove! On the local joints, JB's in Orange is hands down the best IMO.

And a FYI, Texas Monthly isn't wrong about this one: Franklin Barbeque in Austin is the best in the State. People don't start lining up in their folding chairs at 8:00 in the morning for no reason. It's amazing.

Only by about 10 joints (minimum) in a 60 mike radius. Experience is awesome. Food is average at best.

Locally - West Texas BBQ  between Silsbee and Evadale is pretty dang good

I like Salk Lick, but my favorite is Cooper's in Llano.

Cooper's was my favorite for years and years. Great place. I have yet to meet anyone that braved the early morning lines at Franklin though and didn't believe it was the best they've ever had. At least for brisket and ribs. Kreuz in Lockhart is still the best sausage I've had but I've heard Micklethwait Meats in Austin may take that crown.

Billy Joe's is my favorite bbq spot in that area. Jaws BBQ in PA has the best links and sauce.

I didn't like chucks. Way too dry and just IMO not good. In my opinion Wrights BBQ in Vidor is hands down the best I've eaten.
