westend1 Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Interesting ruling. If you have a 10 day break, then it's ok. 3 days just wasnt long enough. At least that is how I read it. Wonder how they came up with that? Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote

tvc184 Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 What, a weekend break is not considered Congress being out of session? Heck, maybe if they recessed for the night he could simply make his appointments at 2:00am and call it good. Quote
westend1 Posted June 26, 2014 Report Posted June 26, 2014 Also interesting from the articleObama has made relatively few recess appointments, 32 in his four-plus years in office, according to the Congressional Research Service. President George W. Bush made 171 such appointments over two terms and President Bill Clinton filled 139 posts that way in his eight years in office, the research service said. Quote
