longball24
Yes it is the NFL, but a bad product and people that you never heard of wont put fans in the stands. Another loosing season with outsiders running the show will run off the remaining fans that are left in Houston. You don't need help to be bad by yourself. Uncle Si
Its the NFL. You don't draft kids because they from around the way and they grew up with Pookie an RayRay an dem. i'll take 53 guys from Saskatchewan if they are legit. Holy cow, how do you know Pookie and RayRay?? I graduated with those guys back in the early 90's!!
TxHoops
I like Rick Smith. He made a great HC hire, IMO, and has had some great drafts. As I stated prior to the draft, if he passed on Manziel and Johnny turned into a star, it would be hard to overcome. But c'mon, no one was drafting him first overall. His biggest problem is he doesn't have a QB and you can't win without one in this league. Hopefully someone steps it up. But let's not write off the season during the preseason please. SKINS
Bears got to the Superbowl without a qb.
Peppermint Patty
Bears got to the Superbowl without a qb. Tampa Bay won a Super Bowl without a QB. That's not Houstons biggest problem. Secondary is awful and the o-line is bad.
PhatMack19
Surely Houston isn't this dumb. Hell, Hoyer will be the starter in Cleveland sooner or later.
longball24
Now the Texans are trying to trade for Ryan Mallett in New England . maybe A J can go to a winning Home. Hell everyone in Houston wants to leave now.

SKINS
Ryan mallet is not worth AJ.
Peppermint Patty
Ryan mallet is not worth AJ. Andre is at the end of his career. He has not been healthy for the past few years. If Mallet is as good as is rumored, I would make that trade in a heartbeat. I don't think New England is going to give up Brady's insurance policy for an aging receiver. SKINS
Trust me, I watched mallet in that first preseason game, looked bad, real bad.
shovel
I'm not high on Mallet, Hoyer or any other trade rumor for that matter. Houston's QB situation is the #1 problem, but the poor secondary is a close 2nd. Maybe an outstanding pass rush will help out the defensive backs. I agree with Hoops... we cant write off the team on the preseason, but I would feel a lot better if they show me something to get excited about! PhatMack19
Clowney just almost killed a man Back to back great plays by The #1 pick
htownfan
Clowney is a freak... Like what I've seen from Fiedorowicz, Blue, Prosch and Su'a-Filo as well being rookies... Ready for Nix to be healthy and anchor down the middle of the d-line... So far it is night and day from last week's game to tonight's game... TROJANSWIN
Still don't have a QB, but without an offensive line it's hard to tell just how bad they are!
JWB
Well, without an O-Line and qb I'd say your're in a bind.
ladybug33
Under 6 games for my team this year, they have been bad. We need another QB, and offensive line. 5 wins 11 games lost.
PhatMack19
Clowney out Sunday with an illness. He must be pretty sick to already know he can't play 3 days before
