workbootz Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 If he's not gonna give 100% effort, it's time to part ways with him. We good with Hopkins as the top wide out. Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 @NickMensio: QBs for Andre Johnson: Matt Schaub, David Carr, Sage Rosenfels, TJ Yates, Matt Leinart, Case Keenum, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mallett. Gross. @Bischoff_Scott: Andre Johnson has 64 TD in 12 seasons. Dez Bryant is the best WR in the NFL, he has 56 TD in his 5 years. Man, if Andre ever had a QB. Quote
SKINS Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 @Nick_Mathews: #Texans star Andre Johnson, the No. 3 pick in 2003 and No. 9 in NFL history in receptions, asks to be traded or cut. http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2015/03/texans-star-andre-johnson-asks-to-be-traded-or-cut/ @McClain_on_NFL: Texans gave Andre Johnson permission to seek a trade. Told him he'd have a reduced role next season. He asked to be traded or cut instead. They will if he aagrees to take a pay cut. Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 It's time to sever the ties with Andre. If this team was on the brink of making a playoff run they could afford to keep him around. Now, it's time to get some depth and add some younger players. It's not personal, it's business. Quote

Hope he lands with a contender. Quote

workbootz Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 I say trade him to the Jets for the #6 pick and get Cooper from Bama. Quote

king Posted March 3, 2015 Author Report Posted March 3, 2015 Put him on the pats and they are a lock for the SB. Seattle needs a stretch'em guy, and Andre doesn't have the extra gear he once had. GB would be lethal with Aaron Rodger type accuracy with Andre out wide. He make Indy a serious contender Baltimore would take a notch up as a potential contender Denver already has their version of Andre 49ers will never win the Super Bowl as long as Kapernick is their QB. Plus no harbaugh to pull the strings Carolina has their young/unproven version of AJ If I were him my choices would be in this order GB Pats Indy Baltimore Quote

I don't see Indy or Baltimore going after an older player. The Pats have a history of resurrecting older players. That, to me, would be his best chance to play in a Super Bowl. Quote
HurricaneCal Posted March 3, 2015 Report Posted March 3, 2015 All around good guy on the field and in the community. Hopefully he lands somewhere he can compete for championship and doesn't just go finish his career in somewhere like Miami. Quote

badndn Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 so DJ thought he was being overcharged for the production value of the customs shop. Anyone else think he will miss out on the irony when he becomes a free agent and the Texans don't care to pay him what he THINKS he's worth? I'd save that cash if I was him. In three or four years he's gonna need it. Quote

OldTimer Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Man I just don't see it with him. But maybe I'm missing something. Question here is this: Are the Browns or Texans more desperate at QB at the moment - I think it is a toss up. Mr. Buddy Garrity 1 Quote
