BobcatDis Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Per a Rivals Site former Longhorn players RB Jalen Overstreet and DB Chevoski Collins are both likely to enroll at Lamar. Joe Bergeron's transfer has been discussed also but he was waiting to appeal Strong's decision before making the move. Per Orangebloods.com, that appeal was denied at Texas last night and he is now seeking a new home. West Texas A&M, Lamar, SFA and Sam Houston State are the schools being mentioned as a possible destinations. footballfan1135 1 Quote

NorthoftheBorder Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Of course we have taken other D1 transfers who were involuntarily removed from their prospective schools with very little success. It's not that they are not talented, but that their heads are usually not screwed on straight so that they can stay focused on football and perform consistently at the level that their talent would allow them too. NorthoftheBorder Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Well, that said I would say I am in favor of and LU would have to take the chance on them unless their is something really aggregious going on with thier dismissal or their past. Big girl 1 Quote

Green Menace Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Transfers like this are a crapshoot. Sometimes they can screw up other players. But they are worth a shot. Big girl 1 Quote
