AthleticSupporter - Jock Posted August 1, 2014 Report Posted August 1, 2014 Lumberton will have more depth, but H-F will have the best athlete on the field. I think it will be a competitive game. Lumberton couldn't have much more depth than HF. They usually average less than 50 kids on Varsity. Not exactly busting at the seams for a 5A school. The only football team I ever remember Lumberton being deeper than was that prison football program they used to play. That group would show up with about 15 kids. They were tough for about a half and then just ran out of gas. Quote
tvc184 Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Being underdogs will motivate Lumberton! They should have plenty of motivation this year. Quote

AshlyHasBeen Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 They are all pumped up and even more about they saw the sign in the HF preview video that said beat Lumberton. I'm so ready for this game Most schools have those signs. They change the opponent every week. PNG has beat Clear Lake up, Memorial says beat Ozen, etc. Quote

AshlyHasBeen Posted August 3, 2014 Report Posted August 3, 2014 Lol yeah, I'm talking about the digital countdown signs with a space open for the opponent not the ones put up by cheerleaders. mytwocents-28 1 Quote
sully Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 I think it will be a interesting game. Lumberton will have a tough time with HFs QB. Quote
LTrain Posted August 5, 2014 Report Posted August 5, 2014 Raiders win... gotta get off of the perfect record this year O fer lol Quote
raideroldtimer Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Lumberton has quite a few starters coming back this year, including last years sophomores several who were starters on the varsity before the coach moved them down to JV.Those particular boys got to experience winning so the hope is that that will be carried on back into the varsity. L-Town WON'T be going O-fer this year you can bet on it. Quote

El Guapo Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 Anything less than 3-0 heading into district would be very dissapointing and could spell disaster for L-train! skipmeister 1 Quote

El Guapo Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 what district game/games do you think they will win so i can "mark it down" I want to know as well . Come on Spoonbill , lets hear it ! Quote
spoonbill Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 The Lee and G.C.M. are vey winnable. I believe they take one of these, possibly both if the ball bounces their way. The Ozen and Vidor games are flip a coin games imho. Ozen has the athletes, but their program is always in a state of flux. I think Vidor is going to have a down year this year. The Raiders will definitely win at least one of these four games. Mark it down. ;-) Tiger33 1 Quote
