Baba Ganoush Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 Sounds like she dumped the hillbillie for the rich and famous I would stick up for aggie too after what happened to mike the tiger. Quote
OldTimer Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 Good to see Baba back - Staying classy I see :D Quote
TxHoops Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 Sounds like she dumped the hillbillie for the rich and famous I have found that even hillbillies have trouble spelling "hillbilly." 😂 Quote
OldTimer Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 WNCIP - Texas A&M, Nebraska, Missouri and Colorado all did not leave due to the inspired leadership of Texas in the Big 12. There were many issues before the LHN but that was the straw that broke the Big 12's back. Also, several of the posters on this forum have stated their feelings toward Texas A&M - like "red headed Step Child" and "Little Brother" - I believe that about sums up Texas's view of the Aggie's (and I have followed them for my full 54 years) and that is that A&M is always less than the "The University" or anything to do with "The University". And then Texas and its fans were shocked and surprised that A&M decided to leave the family and start anew - and it has worked so far - I think to the benefit of Texas A&M as well as to the detriment of Texas.. TxHoops Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 "Inspired leadership" is one way to put it. Deloss Dodds was great at making money...not so much at making friends ;) Quote
PN-G bamatex Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 It's like that guy that mistreats his wife for 20 years then is shocked when she leaves and does better for herself. ... so you're saying A&M is an ex-battered wife? Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted September 25, 2014 Author Report Posted September 25, 2014 ... so you're saying A&M is an ex-battered wife? Texas kept that pimp hand strong on 76 occasions. The ags should have filed for divorce a long time ago. TxHoops 1 Quote

PN-G bamatex Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 At least it wasn't an analogy about a scared dog with an abusive owner.... Quote

Everyone always knew A&M was Texas's b*^ch. Just glad Mack is able to admit it publicly now. That shows real growth. Proud of you PM19. Baba Ganoush 1 Quote
PN-G bamatex Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 Wait, is this why Aggies are so obsessed with the ring? TxHoops and Baba Ganoush 2 Quote
Peppermint Patty Posted September 25, 2014 Author Report Posted September 25, 2014 Wait, is this why Aggies are so obsessed with the ring? Poor Aggie. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Quote
PhatMack19 Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Poooooor aggy....delusion at its finest!!! Do you want to compare money, ratings, distribution etc? We can compare the 2 networks all you want and it won't be delusional. Quote

We can compare the 2 networks all you want and it won't be delusional. No need to go on. You are happy with 1/14th when your are bringing so much more. And the jilted lover example you have provides more insight as to why you are happy with it. Quote
Roper84 Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 Great analogy Mack. Aggie was the chick in the relationship, esp the way Texas rammed aggie all those years. And the only shocking part is how long aggie just kept taking it. Low self esteem I guess. Better is all relative, aggie feels safer with a "crimson tide" after taking that LONGhorn forever. I see you're putting that longhorn degree to good use. Quote
whatnamecanipick Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 I see you're putting that longhorn degree to good use. BG learned that in animal husbandry! LOL I am really trying to let this thread roll away. TTB Quote
Baba Ganoush Posted September 25, 2014 Report Posted September 25, 2014 I see you're putting that longhorn degree to good use. Lamar c/o of '97! Better ROI. I just try to clarify things. That was my take away from the post. I did spend a lot of time in Austin though, nice city Quote

Oh, I thought you were implying that Aggie football this year would be more profitable. You would think with that team vs the lowly Texas team that it would be. Still, I'm dumb enough to put a sizable wager that Texas still comes out on top in gross revenue. Quote

They do not suckle from the teat of the other schools in the Big XII. Let's be sure we compare apples to apples. Quote
