Looks like the NFL finally has a true Minor League affiliate. Very little talk of the educational component, so why not just take attending classes out of the mix. All those in favor......Goodbye NCAA.

This had been brewing for awhile the beginning of the end of college athletics as we know it.  This is not a good thing.  And I agree the small schools just got kicked in the teeth.  But many of the mid-majors will as well.

If anything fits "the writing is on the wall" this issue does.  Been in the works for years and yes we do not know the unintended consequences this will have on college athletics, especially the lower FBS and FCS schools.

They did not have a GOR agreement like a certain Texas school. They are stuck in the Big 12 until 2025, no matter what people are posting in other threads.

I did read most of it. No one has challenged the GOR as of now, maybe Texas will be the 1st.

No conference will take a team without TV rights, so that will be a big obstacle to overcome. They should get Joe Jamial on that immediately.

Something really needs to be done about coaches blocking kids from transferring. Coaches are free to go anywhere, but kids aren't. I don't see how Fields going to SFA has any affect on TCU on the field.

Transfer rules are a joke. Students athletes that are in good standing academicaly should be able to transfer at anytime to any school they choose. You should only be required to sit out a year if you have academic issues.

I could see not allowing them to transfer in conference and matching up with their former team, but that's it. Okie Lt blocked a kid from transferring a few years ago to any team who's conference had a bowl tie in with the Big 12 which is ridiculous. That eliminated most of the schools in the country.

If these coaches are truly worth all the money they make, why should they care? Shouldn't they be able to beat anyone on the field? Hypocrites!
