smitty Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Personally I say it's much, much more than that. But, since the politicians have to put on a happy face this is what's reported. Also, the US deficit grew another $95 Billion in July, 2014... http://beforeitsnews.com/economy/2012/10/us-public-debt-to-gdp-ratio-over-102-2459700.html Quote
stevenash Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 Very serious issue. I have brought it up on this board numerous times, but it has always fallen on deaf ears. It's too bad that we will only be willing to confront this issue when it is virtually too late to do so. Greece is the shining example. Quote
EnlightenedChosenOne Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 The real question is - how can Americans hold our politicians accountable? Americans wants to kick everyone out of congress except for "their guy". Quote
stevenash Posted August 14, 2014 Report Posted August 14, 2014 The accountability factor is as good a reason as anyway to want to minimize government involvement in our daily lives as opposed to increasing it. Quote
